HI!
I'm getting an error - now on 2 WU.

I looked around at the reusulta and status...
Other cruchers getting same error.
as:
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/devi....do?workunitId=1647742399

Here is a snippet from the error status:
INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning. [16:35:41] Number of jobs = 8 [16:35:41] Starting job 0,CPU time has been restored to 0.000000. The WU crunched for less that 20 seconds.

I checked for available disk space - was plenty:
df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
udev 6054140 0 6054140 0% /dev
tmpfs 1220492 9756 1210736 1% /run
/dev/sda2 49983260 8270248 39173952 18% /
tmpfs 6102444 264 6102180 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 5120 4 5116 1% /run/lock
tmpfs 6102444 0 6102444 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda5 672808 131624 507008 21% /boot
/dev/sdb2 154818540 26554132 120400088 19% /home
/dev/sdb1 141110136 3231728 130710408 3% /var
tmpfs 1220492 32 1220460 1% /run/user/1000

I put /var (boinc-client data written here) on separete device to control space allocation)

I assumed this was not a normal thing and wanted to bring it your attention..

Thanls!!

Jay

That is a problem with the WU, not anything on your end. Either the techs or the scientists will fix it eventually and re-issue it.
Cheers

Re: CEP2 errors - failed to open file

Hi Jay, some more clarification...
Looking at the name of the WU (E236389_ 769_ S.296.C26Ge1H18O1S3Se1.KWSAYXURUMPSNR-UHFFFAOYSA-N.8_ s1_ 14_ 0--) you'll notice that it is containing Ge (= Germanium) and we know that all WUs (AFAICT) with that element are failing at the moment - see discussion here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=515122.

I checked for available disk space - was plenty:
df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
udev 6054140 0 6054140 0% /dev
tmpfs 1220492 9756 1210736 1% /run

tmpfs 6102444 264 6102180 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 5120 4 5116 1% /run/lock
tmpfs 6102444 0 6102444 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda5 672808 131624 507008 21% /boot
/dev/sdb2 154818540 26554132 120400088 19% /home
/dev/sdb1 141110136 3231728 130710408 3% /var
tmpfs 1220492 32 1220460 1% /run/user/1000

Looks perfect!
BOINC sits in /var/lib/boinc (right?) and needs some 2 GB (2,000,000K) - max - of space for CEP2 per workunit.
