Re: Limited workunits for Help Stop TB

I too am wondering what is going on. I only run under OSX and I have always been open for Beta testing. I have received no WUs (Beta or otherwise) for HST1. Does anyone know the status of HST1 for OSX? I would really like to start crunching them again as I feel it is a really worthwhile project (and I would also like my emerald and sapphire badges please!)

Re: Limited workunits for Help Stop TB

All I can add is that the "OS X version had been promoted to production" after the 1 Jul HST1 beta test. Then the 11 Aug beta test included updates to Windows and OSX platforms but I can't see any subsequent support forum mentions of OSX and there is no tech update about production following 11 Aug.

I suppose the latest beta test isn't finished yet as I've received one resend of the beta wu (as of no reply) today...
The wu is validated now...

Re: Limited workunits for Help Stop TB

I do also run on OS X only and received 19 HST-WUs over the last months. Not so much, but there are some out there...

Re: Limited workunits for Help Stop TB

No more tasks coming? Although spotty I have been getting some WUs. None for the last 2 days.

Re: Limited workunits for Help Stop TB

WUProp shows only 34 in progress currently, typically at 1-2,000 when freely flowing, see below.
Suggest get a days zika or something else then switch to HST at 2 days and repeat if still dry.

...
World Community Grid FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2 1,315
Help Stop TB 34
Mapping Cancer Markers 17,362
OpenZika 32,384
Outsmart Ebola Together 15,291
Uncovering Genome Mysteries 6,668

Re: Limited workunits for Help Stop TB

Always thought WUProp was a results statistics accumulator (for those that hook up to this project) **, i.e. substantial latency for long running tasks such as HSTb, where WCG has 6012 validating on the 29th. That said, not seen any in days coming through, even if trying hard at the sweetspot times , being indicative of the buffer depths some run very limited available science (whatever happened to uplinger doubling of the queue?).

** Are 'In Progress' queues info also transmitted to WUProp, for those participating?

Again I'm questioning the deadline of 10 days, which only promotes to buffer as much as you can [and I will do so too if I can get my hands on them whistling] and the unlimited "in progress" for hosts, where the dependency of to newly created tasks is hanging on the returned results of previous batches. This one IMO (not humble), needs a return requirement more in line with FAH2 to speed up batch completion, but maybe the scientists somewhere in England and not in a rush at all. not talking
