Re: Welcome to the Microbiome Immunity Project!

I'm so happy to finally see something on Type 1 Diabetes.

Me too. I was diagnosed with type 1 at the age of 60. Otherwise in above average shape and Ideal weight. Doctors are strumped; think it might be viral or bacterial infection. I;m crunching this task exclusively for now.

I've had no trouble filling my bin with work units. But don't want to neglect the other projects. Occasionally I change my setting to all projects for a day or so and let the work flow. I figure the server will send me what may be in the most need.

Re: Welcome to the Microbiome Immunity Project!

This is a fascinating project!!! Imagine learning how to do things like selectively poison hostile microbes in your gut and leaving the commensal bacteria alone.
So far I've never run short of WUs. It's great to find something I'm so enthusiastic about to put my CPU cores to work on.

Re: Welcome to the Microbiome Immunity Project!

Hello partners.

In the publication of March 7, 2018 of this project, the following is published:

With your help, we have already predicted the structures of more than 50,000 prioritized proteins! In the grand scheme of the 2 million unique bacterial proteins in our gut, this may not seem like much, but keep in mind that experimental work to date only covers approximately 125,000 proteins. In just 6 months we have made great progress in expanding our universe of known protein structures by almost 28 percent!

We have now reached 200,000 lots of work units. My questions are:

Currently: How many protein structures have been predicted?

15 months after this publication, could the researchers tell us how the progress of the project is going? how many proteins have been predicted and how many are left or how many do you plan to investigate with our collaboration?

Thank you

Re: Welcome to the Microbiome Immunity Project!

Hello,

There have been two project updates from the researchers since March 2018:

June 2018
December 2018

In the June 2018 update, the researchers outline their plans for publications and for disseminating their data. There are also mini-updates in the Microbiome Immunity Project forum every month.

As of December, they have predicted the structures of approximately 100,000 proteins, which has expanded the known universe of proteins by about 50%. (This is mentioned in the first video in the December update.)

They are working on another project update, which we will publish as soon as we receive it.

Re: Welcome to the Microbiome Immunity Project!

No WU's for days?? error or no actual tasks?

It would be very helpful to have a server status page like
https://www.cpdn.org/server_status.php
