I have 2 identical Pine64 android machines running SCC. 1 is working fine. The other has every task end with a computation error. The log says there is a missing output file. It was working fine up to a few days ago. Tried restarting it several times. Same issue. any ideas?

Only detach and re-add of WCG ensures a clean fetch of all the project related settings and files. If that is not resolving the issue then it's something device specific, the Usual AV interference, permissions, what not.

Wonder what caused it to work fine one day and be borked the next. ![]()

What's borked is IBM's souped up cloud....they're unable to deliver binary matching files to source, time and again. Then BOINC has this 'don't need, can ditch' mechanism when the last result of a science is gone. Given the non-continuous supply, something occurring, and that coupled to the cloud issue delivering sometimes a good, sometimes a bad file.
Anyway, BOINC operations is NOT, "set and forget", rather pathetic after a dozen plus years of operation, not just at WCG, it's all over the place. Use it for block chain calculations... Very very scary. |
