I solved the shutting down problem; more than likely it was too much power draw. I have it set to all cores at 60% still, but lowered the allocated memory a bunch. Only one task runs at a time now (mostly), and they take a long time. The past 5 days, in fact, it's pushed exactly 5 tasks per day. Now, for the compute stick, you can't hear it at all unless you put your ear next to it. So that's nice. Hmm, very curious. I'm running a kangaroo mobile PC off a blue flame 4 port USB charger that theoretically gives 2.1A per port. It has an odd problem where the power draw of the processor doesn't exceed 2.9 wats. Though, since it has a battery, if the battery goes to 5% and it goes to sleep, waking it up brings it up to around 3.5-4 wats and processor temperature increases significantly. This is regardless of CPU usage. Running at 50% causes a clock speed increase if it's allowed to hit more than 2.9 wats. 100% it tends to underclock - though the lack of any active cooling solution is likely to blame. This summer was pretty horrid with this fx8350. I might need to take a break/use smaller, less powerful machines. With that being said I have a cold, cold Canadian northern winter coming on. How does it do at 75%? thanks.
