For PecosRiverM a 100y badge For me the drudgery of annual rig cleaning: I thought it time for a deep clean of some of my cpu coolers so, stripped down and into the dishwasher as a trial Will post on how this goes I saw a youtube video a long time ago about putting a computer in a dishwasher. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahhSDEgkqQ8 I understood the procedure. However, I wondered how he survived the experience -- because the dishwasher he used was his MOTHER's dishwasher!  |

I have used a bath to clean a motherboard before ......
----------------------------------------....and a week in the airing cupboard after jetting with compressed air I still need to brush a few particles of grime off those coolers but otherwise.... Looking good Not sure if the grime is caused by me, by living near a busy road or perhaps by living near the sea but after a year things get kinda black and greasy together with the dust With this now done I am just waiting on some memory to up my competition core count [Edit 3 times, last edit by OldChap at Nov 5, 2018 6:52:29 PM] |
