What does "Tasks are committed to other platforms" mean in Event Log?

I've seen this message now and then over the years but never bothered with it. I can't find a thread in this forum that discusses what the message means -- only several threads where people mentioned getting the message.

I'm currently going full tilt on the SCC1 short work units just for funsies, but I'm getting that message quite a bit when my machines request new work. Is it something on the server side? Does it mean the job server that dishes out tasks is busy?

Sometimes -- especially in the past -- I'm unable to get work units for hours at a time. Just curious, thanks!

Tasks are committed to other platforms

Usually, at the time a machine requests WU to compute, but the queue on the server is empty, i.e. no work available.
Alternatively, some work could be available but not fitting with your configuration/architecture, e.g.: the machine runs Windows but currently available work is for Linux hosts (or vice versa).
Cheers,
Yves
