I would suggest that if you have more than 2 threads on that machine that you suspend the 2 newest running MCMs and those ready to start before your ARPs. That would start them. You could then resume the suspended units. You would then have the 2 ARPs running together with some MCMs.

Re: Work Available

don't worry catchercradle there is still a small but constant trickle of ARP WUs going out, I've gotten a couple, but never enough to keep my computer busy.

Thank you for the info/link Adri.
It's a pleasure, Unixchick! rose
Perl is so useful.
Indeed it is. cool After learning 'sed' and 'awk' it is very simple to do some basic things in Perl. idea I'm also using Perl to generate the three historical statistics files of ARP1 (see my webpage) that go back to as far as 2021-06-10,
Thanks for sharing your scripts with detailed documentation.
Thanks for recognizing the need. It's good to describe output that is shared on a website, in case you forget what it's all about. wink

Re: Work Available

Again no movement of extremes. There are 318 all of which appear to be stuck.

1 accelerated units validated and is now in generation 135. I think that it is the only accelerated moving out of 442.

511 normals validated yesterday. There are 13,376 normals in the generations being released, many of which may be stuck, particularly in generations 137 to 141.

There are now 19,925 held up in generation 143,whjch may start to be released in a few days, but may start later as new unit release has slowed.

Re: Work Available

I've pulled a few more ARPs across three hosts, all in 142.
They're pretty heavily buried behind pending MCM work. I've forceably started the only one I could find in the top 30, which saves about six hours.

Re: Work Available

Sunday Report (a day late)

ARP has been running slowly.

The forecast is averaged over the last 5 weeks.

All classifications have stayed put..

There are still 3 ultras in generations 21 & 22, 8 extremes in generations 104 - 110 and 12 in generations 115 - 124,

None of those generations contain more than 2 units.

We then have 295 extremes in generations 125 - 131.

All of them appear to be stuck.

There are now 318 extremes in generations 21 to 131 but all seem to be stuck.

There are now 442 accelerated units in generations 132 to 136 and 34,849 normal units in generations 137 to 146. Only 1 of the accelerated units would seem to be moving.

WCG are currently releasing units in generations up to 142.

3,781 units have validated to Saturday.

Based on the last 5 weeks, we would complete ARP1 in August 2029 but the number of units currently being issued is less than the earlier averaged units. However, there may be an improvement when the new hardware is online in July.
