Does the abort transfer essentially delete the completed work units in the transfer queue? Y N It depends what you mean by work units. I would say that it does not. I don't know if it deletes the output file or not, but it does seem to stop the file EVER being transferred, so the effect is more or less equivalent. I was just looking for what I thought you might have been attempting to do, and pointing out a way to delay the transfer, rather than stop it altogether, but it may not work on a system with very hight upload speed. Mine is only ADSL at the moment and is shared with other devices, so it probably has more likelihood to "fall over itself" in the way I described than, say, a single device on a fibre link might. |

If one chooses to abort the file transfer in the Transfer Tab, the file transfer is aborted and the indication in the Transfer Tab is removed. The WU or job or whatever you want to call it, is reported back to the server as being in error and is then removed from the Tasks Tab at the end of the next scheduler request. So, regardless of whether one is referring to a file transfer or the WU itself, the answer to the question is YES. It essentially deletes the WU both from the Transfer Tab and from the Tasks Tab. Work units don't move from the Tasks Tab to the Transfer Tab and back to the Tasks Tab. As long as the WU is on the client, it has a status in the Tasks Tab. If status in the Tasks Tab is UPLOADING/DOWNLOADING then it also has a status in the Transfer Tab.
