Note: This thread is specifically for questions about the science and technology for the upcoming OpenPandemics project. Please do not use this thread for comments or general discussion.

You can ask any questions about the science and technology behind OpenPandemics in this thread. We will answer as many questions ourselves as we can, and will pass other questions along to the project research team. Please stay on topic and limit your posts to questions rather than comments so that everyone can easily see the information that will be posted here. Please review the thread before posting to make sure that your question has not already been asked. We will be strictly enforcing our communications guidelines, which you can read here. Any volunteer posts that are not questions about the science and technology behind the project will be deleted. Any volunteer posts that are lengthy comments with a question embedded in the comment, or re-hashes of questions that we have already answered, will also be subject to deletion. What are the system requirements for this project?
Is this project expected to run faster on certain operating systems? What makes this project different from Rosetta and Folding@Home? The other projects with COVID-19 work units are experiencing bandwidth issues - is World Community Grid prepared for a similar surge in demand? |

I have Rosetta covid-19 running for over a week on 6 desktops have not noticed any problems. Will the WCG project start very soon? Should I switch?

jackielan2000, we may port the research application over to Android at some point but the priority right now is to get the project launched as quickly as possible.

This question is informational and not accusatory: why is the project running on AutoDock 4 and not AutoDock Vina? Based on your above reply, am I correct to say it is for expediency in launching the project?

Does this have any overlap with the work that Folding@Home and Rosetta@Home?
