It is badly needed, Folding@home currently has much more computing power than they can use and Rosetta seams to be more of beta project that sometimes happen to work and then just for a short time.

What is the definition of "Soon" in this case 1 - 2 months?

What platforms will be supported? Win10, Linux, GPU, RPi, Android?

Thanks!

Re: Questions about work units and badges for OpenPandemics (launch TBA)

Hi everyone, to answer your questions:
  • The research application will be AutoDock, which is developed by Scripps and has been used on a number of World Community Grid drug discovery projects in the past.
  • At this time, AutoDock runs on Windows, Mac and Linux but not Android.
  • We are working very aggressively towards launch, but don't yet have an expected launch date. We will keep you posted as we get further into the onboarding process.

Many thanks,
Juan

The last time we ran Autodock tasks, they had long deadlines. If I recall, it was either a week or ten days.

Will the work units have 24 or 48 hour deadline to ensure the coronavirus units return as quickly as possible and prevent cycles of hoarding and 'no-reply/too-late'?

This would imply that it is another BOINC project, which is fine with me. Only one of the three Climate Change projects have been launched, and this would push the other two back a little, I suspect.

The pandemic e-mail talked about "downloading an app". It sounded like something different from usual.
My phone is wired, and doesn't have apps.
