Just bought a new Android TV-box (RMB130, about US$20+) with an Allwinner H2 CPU/1Ghz/Quad core, 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM. The spec is not that great but the Android version is 7.0, which far exceeds the minimum requirement of OPN, MCM and SCC.

How long does it take a crunch a work unit - 15 hours?
----------------------------------------Do you get access to Google Play Store and you just download BOINC and the work units get downloaded to the internal storage? Or do you need to add storage to the unit? I see this for $15 w/ free shipping to USA but have no idea what else I need. How long does it take a crunch a work unit - 15 hours? Do you get access to Google Play Store and you just download BOINC and the work units get downloaded to the internal storage? Wish me luck. ;) Good luck, mate, it doesn't look good  . 1st MCM WU has been running for 13hrs, only reached 45%. I don't know what the matter is but another MCM WU running on another phone takes longer than usual as well, 14hrs to 55%. So I guess maybe it depends on different WU. Hope next one will take less time.I didn't download from Google Play Store, can't access it here in China. I have a copy of Boinc APK so I install it from a USB thumb drive directly. No need to add storage, there's plenty of space, 2GB, left in ROM. The only thing you need to worry about is RAM. 1GB is a bit shaky since other apps take some of it as well, usually 50~60% left without running Boinc. Next time I'll buy a better one with at least 2GB RAM.

The APK packages you get at the BOINC download site, near the bottom
----------------------------------------https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php 7.16.3 is on my tablet, 7.4.53 in on my phone. Latter wont download the 7.16.3 beta though that channel has been activated, so guess I will have to do a trial and error sideload and override security. 7.16.3 is nice because it has that one feature, being able to name the phone as recognizable in the device statistics and result status pages like Android-Galaxy. Edit: Did the dirty deed, download and ran the 7.16.3 APK, it asked to enable unknown sources, it installed, it benchmarked, and started. Named the host and it continued where it left of, at least the last checkpoint. Surprisingly after the install the unknown source was disabled again. Kudos the Google or Samsung. So, the Android TV I ordered under $20 were all fraud sellers accounts and I have to chase my payment down. Getting refunds from PayPal. Looks like I'll have to look at listings above $20. Might fire up my old Tracfones again until the battery bloats or I find time to hotwire it without the battery.

OK, after 28hrs of crunching, 1st WU returned an ERROR . What happened?
