Idle curiosity eventually kills the cat too, but either it's half of the sum of the first returners that comprise a quorum of 2, e.g. claiming 100+80 / 2 = 90 or some rolling average grant per second if it's quorum 1 and when it's a severe outlier a capped value. In my desktop's case when there's no wingman the claim and grant are mostly equal, so guess the machine is deemed an Honest John. Very much in a nutshell, but I'm idly bored with the topic ;o).
