I expect this announcement will draw in quite a few new users to WCG (like me - hello, familiar names!)
Quick note on the initial announcement - GPU settings have only been added to the "Custom Profile" section of device profiles - took me a while to find them. |

Heads up to everyone, I'm going to be releasing the rest of the first 10 batches over the next 1.5 hours. A majority of these work untis will be the smaller ones due to the way a batch is split up.
Also, please note from above, that the server should only allow OpenCL 1.2 for this science application. That applies to AMD, Nvidia and Intel GPU. We did move the selection for which GPU to allow members to run on to the device profile page to allow members to select yes on specific GPU types they want to use. My preferences are set to Yes on all 3. I am able to have 2 GPU tasks running at the same time on my laptop with a discrete graphics card and the intel integrated graphcis card on Windows. No luck with GPU tasks for NVIDIA GeForce 315M, that's only OpenCL 1.0, but it download tasks and runs them, but they error out. Also no luck with GPU tasks for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M, that one is OpenCL 1.2 though, but they eror out almost immediately.
----------------------------------------My NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 though seems to work fine with theses GPU tasks, goes through them in just a matter of seconds. Added: Now though, there seems to be no more tasks left to download. Will Try to get tasks for the INTEL Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, I have on the same computer that has the GTX980, but it seems as if tasks have dried out now.
