Howdy, I have had some conversations with the researchers and they have identified batches that are bad. What this means is that the search location for the target/ligand area was outside the search box. All batches for OPNG 2225-3336 are identified as a problem. We have stopped sending new results for these batches. Thanks, -Uplinger @uplinger It seems those batches are still being sent out: I got at least 18 yesterday and today: name: OPNG_0003102_00328_1 received: Fri Apr 16 20:34:29 2021 ![]() |

It seems those batches are still being sent out: I got at least 18 yesterday and today: By delaying the running of tasks until the server can do it's thing I've had 30 server aborted tasks over the last 2 days so yes, they are still going out.

First new task with one wingman: Result Name: OPNG_ 0002960_ 00537_ 1-- ... A _1 can't be without a wingman. That doesn't say you're not considered "reliable", you just got assigned as a wingman to someone who is. If you get a wingman on a _0 you're not considered "reliable". ![]() |

First one without wingman (quorum 1) ... I filtered out so many invalids that it might take some time to repair my credibility ![]() ![]() |

There's something very strange with these invalids. I've seen it before, but how can some become valid and some invalid among several wingmen for the same WU? Here I was lucky to be one of the valid (Microsoft Windows 8.1)
----------------------------------------Is there something wrong with the validator, and that is the real issue here? This example, two valid, and two invalid: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/...s.do?workunitId=624779888 Edit: This "invalid" issue, started just after Uplinger by mistake released a whole bunch of WU's to the wild, on Apr 14, 2021 See: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=655481 Could there be a connection to that? (Edit: Or is that just a coincidence?) [Edit 3 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Apr 18, 2021 12:11:21 AM] |

@Grumpy Swede: re work units with both Valid and Invalid wing-men...
I've seen these too; usually a two-two split, but I even had one where mine was Valid but three others were Invalid!... Given the quantity of jobs from the same batches that either all go Invalid or show up only as Valid (with or without a wingman), I wonder if these are right on some boundary where different GPUs (or different drivers?) behave differently on something like the processing of values very close to zero. Inconsistent results that seem to be due to the [mis]handling of very small numbers is quite a well-known issue with a subset of the work at MilkyWay@home, for instance. It would be interesting to know what the issue is, but it's probably not considered a crisis in this case as the batches are suspect anyway! Cheers - Al. |

30 more invalids since last night's update. A majority of them _0 and _1. I don't understand why these tasks are still going out to be run.

We don't know how full the pipeline was, before it errored out.
