Hello,
----------------------------------------My client had a hard crash such that my work and data was unrcoverable. Created the same device name as it's the same machine, but everything was reinstalled new. My new device ID is: Computer ID 7002627 Would be great if someone could reattach it, ideally to the former device of the same name. Thanks, EDIT: Support ticket with the same information raised. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by AlmightyMoe at Oct 30, 2023 10:26:04 AM] |

Hi AlmightyMoe and YFHXYA,
I have forwarded your device IDs to a member of the tech team who will ensure the devices are added to your profiles. |

Hi AlmightyMoe and YFHXYA, I have forwarded your device IDs to a member of the tech team who will ensure the devices are added to your profiles. Well either something that the tech team did or simply something systemic that reassociated my reinstall back to my same device, it now works! So I'm happy either way, so thanks for escalating, and all is good on my end. Regards, -AM ![]() |

I finally have some proper information about my missing machines -- the log files in my case were rolling over so quickly that the hidden information was scrolling into the ether so I could never find it.
Here is the log information from my main machine, Miracle, which has not shown any WUs since 26 October despite churning out 24 every 2 hours 24X7: 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Starting BOINC client version 7.16.11 for windows_x86_64 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Libraries: libcurl/7.47.1 OpenSSL/1.0.2s zlib/1.2.8 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Data directory: C:\BoincData 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Running under account John 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | CUDA: NVIDIA GPU 0: Quadro K6000 (driver version 353.30, CUDA version 7.5, compute capability 3.5, 4096MB, 4025MB available, 5193 GFLOPS peak) 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Windows processor group 0: 32 processors 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Host name: Miracle 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Processor: 32 GenuineIntel 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900F [Family 6 Model 183 Stepping 1] 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Processor features: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss htt tm pni ssse3 fma cx16 sse4_1 sse4_2 movebe popcnt aes f16c rdrandsyscall nx lm avx avx2 tm2 pbe fsgsbase bmi1 smep bmi2 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | OS: Microsoft Windows 10: Professional x64 Edition, (10.00.19045.00) 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Memory: 63.85 GB physical, 127.85 GB virtual 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Disk: 1.64 TB total, 1.08 TB free 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Local time is UTC -5 hours 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | No WSL found. 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | World Community Grid | General prefs: from World Community Grid (last modified 03-Sep-2023 18:59:16) 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | World Community Grid | Host location: none 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | World Community Grid | General prefs: using your defaults 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Reading preferences override file 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | Preferences: 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | max memory usage when active: 49033.70 MB 11/8/2023 9:21:03 AM | | max memory usage when idle: 49033.70 MB 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | max disk usage: 15.00 GB 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | max CPUs used: 24 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | don't compute while active 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | don't use GPU while active 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | suspend work if non-BOINC CPU load exceeds 25% 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | (to change preferences, visit a project web site or select Preferences in the Manager) 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | Setting up project and slot directories 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | Checking active tasks 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | World Community Grid | URL http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/; Computer ID 4167202; resource share 100 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | Setting up GUI RPC socket 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | Checking presence of 922 project files 11/8/2023 9:21:04 AM | | Suspending computation - computer is in use I hope that this information will be enough to get this machine recognized. Hi jmcgaw,
Thanks for sending this along. I have forwarded this to a member of the tech team who will investigate why results haven't been updated for this device. |

Dear WCGs:
----------------------------------------Found that my device didn't show itself (and hence none of its contributions) on the WCG website. Please add this one, thank you: <master_url>https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ </master_url> <userid>mirrorbear</userid> <hostid>4872558</hostid> Best regards Ethan [Edit 1 times, last edit by Ethan Chiu at Nov 15, 2023 2:43:15 AM] |

Hi TigerLily!
I’ve a situation with two of my devices. deviceId=8409125 has a wrong name in the "Devices" tab and "Device manager" but has a correct name in the "Results" tab. INSPI3721 should be INSPIRON . deviceId=8169221 has a wrong name in the "Devices" tab and "Device manager" but has a correct name in the "Results" tab. OPTIPLEX9020 should be SATTELITMARC . Thank you! |
