Re: Hexagame - Discussion

Ok, I haven't thought this through, haven't looked back at previous categories, but came up with these:
painter
composer
sound (description, thing that makes a distinctive sound, etc)
color
country
dance (dancer, style, choreographer, famous or favorite work, etc)

What do you think?

Re: Hexagame - Discussion

Great. I would leave off the descriptions to make it simpler. Now, post it.

Re: Hexagame - Discussion

alged - I didn't see your post of David Axelrod several days ago! I put in John Adams because I didn't see your post, so sorry! I found some recordings of David Axelrod's music on youtube and am enjoying getting to know his work.

Re: Hexagame - Discussion

I enjoy watching the hexagame and I note that trying to find a sound beginning with I seems to have caused a stall!

I wasn't sure whether "Intonation" would qualify to unblock things: if it would be o.k. feel free to use it!

Cheers - Al.

Re: Hexagame - Discussion

ok it may be a good answer as the definition of "intonation" is the way one cud utter a sound
i.e grave,light,subtle,murmur etc
i think the answer may be not strictly a sound itself but rather what apply to the same field .. go ahead then !

Re: Hexagame - Discussion

Regarding solutions for letter X around mid-August:

1) I thought Xanadu was a place of fable (Shangri La) so that answer would do for country

2) There is a colouration referred to as Xanthic, so that would do for colour.

As I'm not sure what the protocol for "fixing" a sequence might be, I've posted here instead :-)

Cheers - Al.

P.S. I think finding a dance beginning with X might be challenging (I've looked on Wikipedia and the offerings don't have proper citations...) -- I presume that Eugene launched this stage as "X, Y or Z" was advanced acknowledgment of possible problems, then but MIke cleared it back to "X" when posting and now here we are :-)

Re: Hexagame - Discussion

So, Hexagame friends, we've completed a round from A to Z! Now what? What do you all think?

Re: Hexagame - Discussion

Happy to have another set, but as a relative newbie, I don't know what has gone before. Any ideas? How about medecine and nautical for starters?

Re: Hexagame - Discussion

Looking through the lists from the past indicates we can do whatever we want, new or previously used categories.... How about these to get us started again?:
Astronomy
Games
Mathematics
Medicine
Nautical
Tools
