So effectively, the members of the Easynews team get paid to participate, which makes them a 'professional' team  Some impressive results  That's an interesting slant. Our 'payment' is more of an inducement; more like credits on a loyalty card rather than cash on a debit card IYSWIM. The 'payment' makes me no richer and I still have to subscribe to be able to get the benefit of the bonus gigs, so even the ananlogy of the loyalty card doesn't truely hold water. In all, it's a very effective business plan in that it is more incentive for the customer base to stay loyal. Nobody loses out: EN gets a regular income, the user gets a bonus, the WCG community gets a big boost to its membership and best of all, the worldwide community gets a whole heap of crunching done towards a very worthwhile cause.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this mean you have easy access to "free MP3's and such"? Not that there is anything wrong with that. Not being judgmental here. |

Easynews is the most comphrehensive usenet service provider bar none. Others may have a little longer retention and some offer unlimited plans.
Easynews provides the most features and best support of all of them. Easynews customers are loyal to them mostly because of this, their dedication to service. There are cheaper options out there and if price was a concern most folks would go with an unlimited plan. I don't speak for everyone but personally (and I think the majority) of people that are crunching for Easynews don't do it for the free gigs, they do it to help out the causes. In answer to the question "Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this mean you have easy access to 'free MP3's and such' ?" If it has been posted to Usenet, Easynews has it. |

The team has now taken the number 2 spot in overall points.
Onwards to #1, we're gaining at just over 2 million points a day, but is quite a lead to make up, my rough calculations come to somewhere around 8 weeks before easynews takes the top spot |
