Successfully attached, no WUs?

OS: Debian/testing, Boinc 5.2.4 , Comp. Id 13488 (from the boinc log)
Account created, attached, no wus sent.
2x removed and re-attached, no change (only that I have now 2 unused devices in my profile :-/)
From the Boinc log it looks as if the box is connecting successfully to the project, but nothing happens.
Any ideas?
thx, Harald

Re: Successfully attached, no WUs?

Hi, please retry with the semi-official BOINC Debian package of Frank Thomas. Respective instructions you find here http://wiki.debian.org/BOINC. These work for me.

From this package start boincmgr and inspect the messages communicated with the server. This might indicate a problem. It did not go smoothly for me, the WGC FAAH client first complained about lacking memory, which was tight, admittedly, but is was mostly the hard disk cache that was taking the free memory away.

Try shutting the boinc client down, with /etc/init.d/boinc-client stop I presume or reboot to be on the save side. Close as many applications as possible and then /etc/init.d/boinc-client start.

Good luck

Steffen

KeineAhnung,

Can you please post your logs? Also, it would be recommended to upgrade your BOINC client up to the latest 5.2.13 as it has fixed bugs and added new features.
