Dear Admins/Developers,
is there any way to see which of my devices has a problem? I'm using both UD & BOINC on various PC configurations (about 20 devices running) it's not always possible to come and check PC (even via remote desktop). Several times I've seen UD agent "backed off", also I've seen "reached daily quota of 2 results" on one BOINC device which probably means that my device has returned invalid result (however, 5 minuites later BOINC has downloaded WU without this error) |

Hi ooDAV,
For your BOINC clients you might like to try BoincView which allows you to view your networked BOINC clients. (Scroll down the page when you visit the site - they seem to have a formatting problem with their web page!) I have found it to be very useful. For your UD clients you can try UDNetworkMonitor I have not tried this, but it may suit your purpose. Regards The Lazy Slug |

Hello ooDAV,
Help is on the way. The BOINC Results page will be a big help with some of these problems. knreed thinks that it will not take much longer to program it to work with our database. mycrofth |

I've found one device with several messages like this: 20.01.2006 18:11:23|World Community Grid|Computer ID: 10045; location: work; project prefs: work ... 20.01.2006 23:59:21|World Community Grid|Requesting 394 seconds of new work 21.01.2006 0:00:08|World Community Grid|Scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi succeeded 21.01.2006 0:00:08|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent 21.01.2006 0:00:08|World Community Grid|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 1 results) 21.01.2006 0:00:08|World Community Grid|No work from project 21.01.2006 0:04:08|World Community Grid|Finished upload of el611_01_5_0 21.01.2006 0:04:08|World Community Grid|Throughput 1745 bytes/sec 21.01.2006 0:17:27||request_reschedule_cpus: project op 21.01.2006 0:17:28|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi 21.01.2006 0:17:28|World Community Grid|Reason: Requested by user 21.01.2006 0:17:28|World Community Grid|Requesting 16064 seconds of new work, and reporting 1 results 21.01.2006 0:18:08|World Community Grid|Scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi succeeded 21.01.2006 0:18:08|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent 21.01.2006 0:18:08|World Community Grid|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 2 results) Maybe it's better for me to disable computations there and check hardware? |

ooDAV, the machine in reference that has reached the max quota of 2 has returned 29 results that were invalid yet returned 8 that validated properly. Have you run any tests on the actual system to see if you have a memory issue? The stats on your computer look fine for running hpf1.
Also, all of your other machines are validating properly. Hope this helps. -U |

That's it!Also, all of your other machines are validating properly. Hope this helps. -U Memory test was ok (S&M memory long test) but CPU (FPU) test failed on that PC (the same S&M 1.7.3, 6 errors during 1.5 hours) Looks like overheat. (63°C) I've downclocked it now , and test is OK. Let's see... I'll replace CPU cooler soon and will do more tests. |

ooDAV, i took a look at your machine just a few minutes ago and it appears that downclocking it helped. The last 5 results that machine returned were all successful. Since your machine returned successful workunit, your daily quota should be larger than two. Hope this helps.
