I made the same mistake - I even replied in MOT forum saying I couldn't see them but then deleted the reply after I logged in!

Not sure if I can change the folder settings now...

Nice to see you back Spikey - all settled in?

Matt I registered at the gallery just to get a glimpse of the watch.
Beautiful watch!
Nice keepsake!

Gee - thanks LargeT. I have had it for yonks and couldn't believe it when I dropped it out of my pocket. The case is pretty soft (9 ct) and dented badly.

Ignoring my odd habit of wearing this one occasionally, it seems that I am about the only one in my family who wears a wrist watch nowadays. The kids all depend on their mobile phones to tell the time!

[ Blueprint ]Hopefully.

But in less than a week, i'll be as bouncy as ever. My shiny new laptop (ASUS A7JC) and serious desktop upgrades for my pc will be arriving So there might be a new participant in my device list if the laptops keen.

Is it a bad idea to have a laptop running WCG? Any thoughts?

I posted this question here in the hope that Keithy Henry will see it
I believe that he uses a laptop and will be better qualified to answer any questions relating to any concerns that you may have

i'm not keith, but i have two laptops in my stable of crunching machines. i don't know boinc well, but i noticed that it continues to run when the laptop is on battery power whereas wcg only runs when the laptop is plugged in. for that reason i switched back to wcg on both laptops to keep the batteries from running down any quicker than they normally do.

whichever you decide to use, they both run great and have caused me no problems and the extra few hundred points a day sure add up.

keep the fans blowing and the cpus glowing. biggrin

The only machine I have is a laptop. I ran the UD agent up until end of last year. I've been running BOINC since. UD will not run except with connected to AC power. BOINC has an option to run on battery power or not. I allow it to run when on battery power though I normally am connected to AC.

I think that you will find that most IBMer's are using laptops, myself included.
