8 " Floppy Disks when floppy disks were floppy
----------------------------------------The Superbrain had 2 of them. I edited my first document in WordStar using them. I had the ZX81 1024 Bytes of memory (inside) My buddy had a TRS80 Many happy hours of 10 Print "Hello World"; <-- or some such 20 Goto 10 or if feeling adventurous maybe 10 PLOT INT (RND*64),INT (RND*44) 20 Goto 10  Man I'm old too  |

If your PC is just twiddling it's thumbs waiting for those Work Units to turn up again (somethings gone awry at WCG HQ) make use of that spare processing power to download the latest podcast instead from http://www.myonlineworship.org well worth a listen today. Hi Dave, thanks for the welcome. I'm pleased I can put my computers to good use in their spare time and hopefully help the team to continue to be a good witness, even if it's just by being in the top 50 teams :)
If anyone's interested, I'm a UK resident living in Birmingham. I graduated in the summer from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science. I'm running two BOINC clients: One Athlon XP 1600+ desktop named "Evey", running GoboLinux. I use her for backup, web hosting, SSH, and general-purpose Linux things. One Pentium 4 3.06GHz laptop named "Sproglin", running Windows XP. My general-purpose computer. Despite Sproglin's somewhat hefty processor, BOINC will not be running constantly because of fan noise :( For this reason the two computers seem to be doing about the same amount of work on average... I joined WCG at the beginning of the week, joining the InterVarsity team as I was involved with the Christian Union whilst at University (and still am to some extent), but I decided that uniting our efforts as Christians would probably be a better witness in the long run :) God bless, Paul |

Yep we need to stay on page 1 at least I mean come on how many are there of us out there at the moment ?I'm on the south coast of the UK as it's "Grim up't North" but I'm originally from Leeds. My local church is this one http://www.aruncc.org.uk. I became a Christian at a Church in Coventry I spent a good number of years in Cov The fan noise problem I can recommend these http://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu.php by comparison to anything else I've tried quiet as mice. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to hear myself think. Well I've just checked and we have yet another team mate - great news.
