Yay snowed in! I'm not going to be able to make it to work today :-) It's 5:23 AM just installed 12 Windows XP security updates, rebooted and back crunching!

David I gotta tell you all night in my dreams I was singing "Solid Rock" by Delerious? I love when that happens! I watched the Jesus Film last night at my friends house and we ended up singing that song. It was great. She is from Jordan and she can cook some delicious food and she loves Jesus, so our spirit and body got fed well last night.

I arrived in London Town today and it struck me just how mad we brits are. Try as they might the local restaurant owners try to make out we are a Mediterranean country. Even today and last week in the snow the tables are outside in the open air with people sitting there under heat lamps and patio heaters imagining they are in Barcellona.

It's a crazy mad world we live in

What a journey home

It's Valentines Day I thought I'd get home early so I leave work just before 5pm

It's just 2 tube train trips/stops to Victoria Station about 20mins. The first tube no problem I get to Green Park. Big crowd on the platform so I know I won't get on the first one but by the 5th I'm getting a bit narked I'd already missed my Train from Victoria. The 6th one came and went and I'm muttering under my breath "Don't worry I don't need to go home" The seventh one arrives 1 person gets off there's my space straight in front of me to make like a sardine and this nice lady shoves me out of the way saying "I'm going to miss my train"

"You're going to miss your train......."

It's only one stop away so...

Arms in the air I rant "Right that's it I'm walking"

A nice walk through Green Palk past Big Buckingham House I'm nice and chilled again.

Victoria it's already 20 past 6 I was hoping to catch the 5:24

I look up at the departure board my next train is cancelled - Land slide

whoohoo

Finally get underway at gone 7 on a train now taking the load of 3 trains worth of people (another one was cancelled along the way) at only about 20 miles per hour. After being a sardine for over an hour I can stand it no more and bail out to take my chances at Gatwick Airport (A train stop on the line)

Train Mayhem

As I watch the departure board again the train I'm waiting for gets a minute later every minute or should it be .

eventually I'm on my way again with the benefit of a seat (Luxury)

I'm supposed to get a connection but because my train is late it's half an hour on a chilly platform ending up back on the train I got off of half an hour earlier on it's way back via home.

5 hours it has taken to travel about 60 miles and I have paid for the priviledge.

There is no end to this insanity called London

But do you know I've met and chatted with some great people along the way tonight which I wouldn't have on a normal day.


Which brings me back to gregb49's verse from Romans 8 above

Yea thats it!
I do just two of these Restaurants (Everett Stores) 363/365 days a year.
Today and the day after "Mothers Day" are my busiest days.
To me grit and grease are more than just job security.
Reading over our posts here I want to say I have been led to what I do.
Cleaning up after the public has helped me find two much needed quality's.
Humility, and Service. I'm glad now that I forced myself to keep going
through some rough "burnout" spots. Now a Days I pray my way around the
Buildings with a light step and a smile. Today I'm looking forward to seeing
the "Damage" @ 1400 Dinners! 4 big Bathrooms. Now when I see that some poor
soul didn't feel too well, I feel worse for them than I do for me.
On the fun side today I'll find the trappings (Ribbons Bows Paper Cards) of Old Love and New Romance!
On that Note I want you all to feel Really Loved today
