Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

A long read back I knew it was there

a 2600+ good old Socket A !!!

My trusty NF2 Socket A 3200+ gets 2000/3366 crying

No wonder the 113F :-))

VFM Crunching - it's the only way to do it.

When it finally pops Robby the Core 2 Duos will be 10 a penny - Result

Robby, I wonder if the following extension is the kind of thing you're looking for? This is for toolbar buttons though. If not I'll make something for you as soon as I have time sad

LOL 10 a Penny.
This chip is an unlocked 2500+ AMD, and runs defalt @ 1834Mhz.
Before I'm done with it, RAM should be @433 and the chip @2400
On the ASUS a7n8xv.2 that is about max. Fred Rodgers runs at 400/2400
or about 3500+ Love these Chips, 140-50*F no prob.
My plan is to build my first Linux Box so I can have an OS that will handle
an Eight Pack! 2 AMD Quads; the mobo is ready but last I checked the
Quads are not ready yet. Of course then neither am I! I'm just drooling.

Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

We're getting good at this number crunching malarkey biggrin

making inroads into the center (oh no look at that wink) of page one.

It's Sunday come and lend your PC to this endeavour.

Robby a man after my own heart I have the original 2002 v1 in Em's PC and my top cruncher is powered by the very same ASUS a7n8x v2. The V1 couldn't provide the 400Mhz FSB for the 3200+ I had it running at 386Mhz until the price of the Mobo came down to around £50 at which point is was too good to miss.

I started out with a very hot 2100+ moved up to a 3000+ (which lives on in Jess's Shuttle NF2 powered) and finally the 3200+ which is as fast as it gets in Socket A land (not overclocked wink)

If I ever manage to save the pennies for a new one I will have missed out on Nforce3/4/5/6 and sockets 754 and 939 and maybe even dual core completely biggrin

All without ill effect. Anyone seen what PCI-Express is like?

Unity

You have to listen to this

http://www.myonlineworship.com/churches/podcasts/5/126.mp3

This is why I like the idea and the output and the result of the World Community Grid so much.

I'm a sensitive soul and I've been hurt, to be really honest, along the way. But this is what I aspire to

"A touch of Heaven on Earth"

Thanks to all who contribute to the World Community Grid.
