BOINC imposes a quota if you have been returning too many errors.
Crunch your quota without trouble, and BOINC will lift the restriction. |

Hello MaitreYoda,
Better check your results in My Grid - Device Manager - Results Status. BOINC limits the work to two work units a day on devices that return too many errors. Lawrence |

Aaahhhh, MaitreYoda is the culprit, me having to re-crunch as the 4th wheel on the quorum car

MaitreYoda,
Your computer is in fact currently being limited due to the aborted workunits. This will automatically start going back up as soon as you start returning valid results. However, since you posted in the forums, I'm reseting it manually for you now. Kevin |

At times, BOINC has a mind of its own. I aborted some HPF2 5.06 workunits so I could get the new program and HPF2 5.07 workunits.
----------------------------------------That took an hour on dial-up, during which time nothing was running. Now my computer is "overcommitted", even though the current workunit is the only one in there and there are no other projects lined up. In a few days, it should make up its mind to get more than one. My queue is set to 2.5 days and I can finish a workunit in about 5 hours. Two other computers have several workunits lined up. I only aborted a few over there, and there was no "overcommitted" penalty, which usually only happens when the queue is full. I have uploaded one workunit and downloaded one workunit three times since then. I will leave it connected if I can, so at least it will grab a new one. If one is finishing while I am watching, I think I will set it to "Won't get new tasks". After the existing workunit is uploaded, I will open it up again to see whether some counter gets reset and I can get more than one.

retsof, same as you i cancelled seven 5.06, left a request for kneed in an other thread prior to doing this and similar to MaitreYoda, some magic happened....the moment i send the cancellations i gott 7 new one's back!
----------------------------------------Now i sit with a ZA 5.07 version on 100% complete....it continued to clock time about 1 hour beyond reaching that point, then stopped counting and had been sitting like that for hours. Saw this same behaviour a while back. In the end it still completed and was validated. Now since its not taking CPU time, fired up UD agent. PS. I suspended the WU for a while to let a FAAH 'near deadline' finish....when i had the HPF2 resumed, it stepped back a minute, keepping percent at 100, counted time for a weeh while beyond previous recorded end time and held again.....so exersizing patience, whilst UD is keeping the machine occupied.

Sort of related, since I am new to Boinc, and hope somebody can answer this...
----------------------------------------I just started using Boinc, and have had it running for a little over a day. I returned a number of results. Many of them are pending validation. However, I have 2 of them which came back with a status of "invalid" and 2 with "inconclusive" (which I think is OK for now), and 4 of which are "valid." EDIT: I should add that I do not see any results which came back with "Error." Which I'm assuming is good, but I don't think "Invalid" is good either... Is this something to be worried about? 1/2 my validated results are invalid! I have 13 more results pending, so hopefully my ratio will go up... Depends on the type of 'invalid' and 'inconclusive'. Please see thread: Some HPF2 workunits aborting
----------------------------------------If your 'invalid' made no points, they did not meet the in link provided condition.....No 'Error' is positive for sure.
