Hi,
I have a problem with my WCGA. Suddenly agent has been paused and can´t keep working. Read the message error. I tried to install again, and in another DIR. Can´t solve. In other computer is OK. This computer is similar and in the same LAN with same Firewall settings. Message error: "The Grid Agent has encountered a problem while attempting to connect to the Grid Server. This may occur if the Grid Server cannot find any suitable workunits for your Agent, because the Grid Server is offline for maintenance, or because your computer is not online. If you are not onlin, pelase initiate a network connection at your convenience. The Agent will automatically communicate when the problemmis solved." When I click on in this message then program says "Receiving 3355 of 3355 bytes of....." and then program become paused. I need help. Thank you. This computer have internet OK. |

Hi, This may occur if the Grid Server cannot find any suitable workunits for your Agent I think maybe the problem is not your internet connection. I think your computer does not have enough RAM or is too slow. They increased the minimum system requirements recently. |

I'm having the same problem.
"Receiving 3355 of 3355 bytes of....." and then program become paused. My agent is in a continual paused state. I checked my firewall settings, I have enough memory and processor power. I'm signed up to work on FAAH, HPF2, HPF. Nothing ! Now that HPF2 has launched and I still don't get any work units. I need help too. |

Laddies/Lassies......how many parallel threads on this paused agent subject due discontinuation of HPF1 and start of HPF2?

I wonder if the minimum system requirements is worded incorrectly. Maybe they meant to say 250 Meg physical RAM plus virtual memory enabled?

That's exactly what i was thinking......someone wrote that he/she increased their memory from 192 to 256 including page file. On my machine looking at FAAH, it takes 93mb Ram and 277mb Virtual Memory, which contradicts the hard ram requirement. The One ZAxxx HPF2 i had did more or less the same thing. Thats 370mb !!!!
----------------------------------------Case is though, occasionally the science might require the whole array in ram...think there's a real-tech amplified response requirement on this..could the wording be ambiguous as in: 'Paging must be enabled' as a separate sentence  .Whilst ram is one limit, there's also the CPU minimum....that might cause the stoppage too

Sekerob, our 2 fellow members asking for help are wondering why they can't download workunits. You are addressing the issue of the HPF2 WUs bombing which really should go in another thread out of respect for our fellow members in need... it's just too confusing for them and for those trying to help them. Start a thread with subject "EUREKA!!! I Found It !!!".
