If you feel you'd like the next level of entertainment, then by all means make yourself at home with a more active group. You'll be missed sorely, but it's not like anyone has an obligation to stick with MOT. I didnt join MOT for entertainment Although it was more interesting. We had about 15-20 members that posted quite a bit and everyone was really helpful and David A. was always in the mix of things.Now we only have about 4 people seems interested I am more of an introvert than extrovert so i dont have much input unless someone ticks me off. And do you know how much trouble it is to post pecking away with one finger and you can guess which one that is.Dave Bell was always dependable to post something every evening What we need is for our team members to make a little input once in awhile-did i spell that right? and thats another thing im raising my 15 yearold Grandson and i always have to look for the dictionary because i certainly dont know how to spell. So lets put it this way we need to be more like the family that it once was and if some of these people dont like that why dont they move on-i Hear Gay USA is looking for a few non productive members Oh yea, I can relate Gerald. I remember how it was when I first joined. We had activity here and in our own team forum. The latter been basically dead for alomst a year now it seems. A number of the folks who were regular posters are not only gone from MOT but from WCG as a whole. That's a problem that's not limited to us. I understand that WCG is dealing with a bit of "losing the blush of novelty". If you look at our list of team members, most joined in that first year and the volume of new members in 2006 was decidedly down. On the other hand, several of our members from 2006 are quite active crunching-wise. We and WCG are at a transition point. A lot of the folks who joined at the beginning are either falling by the wayside leaving those who are sticking with it for the long-term. Here's a bit of a challenge to our lurkers out there. You wouldn't think it could make any difference whether you post here or not but it does. It's part of being a team. We have folks who look to hear from you, else they figure no one cares. Joining a team does nothing for your crunching scores. They're the same either way. It's getting to know your fellow crunchers, warts and all, and staying in touch with them. We can share some laughs together and offer encouragement in those tough times. We have folks from all over the world with lots of different perspectives on things. I learned a couple of hand gestures on a trip to Hawaii that are common there but would get me slugged in other parts of the world as they're rather obscene there. Try plying the waters of Hong Kong in a "junk" with everything up to supertankers crossing your path. Then there's speaking pocket dictionary, mangled grammer German with a Southern accent no less. That was always good for a smile and a chuckle followed by an English "May I help you?" It's a whole other world out there and you can get a taste of it here! |

I need to get a laptop so when i go to the outhouse i will have something to do i guess i could paste PC Mag on the walls. But then i would have to put a light in there  Nah, just whip out the lighter and read by it's light. It's a blast!  |

Due to the lack of recent interest in myonlineforum (mot.spikey-richie.co.uk/myonlineforum/index.php) I will be taking it offline next weekend.

But i quit smoking in 1979 so i recon id have to buy one or get some matches and a fan to pull all of those wonderful fumes out before i lit it--My neighbors would think we were in Irac  |
