For 22 minutes, I'm Anthony St. George, and I'm sorry. One should never tell the world they are sorry--Now we all know wink

A newfie calls the RCMP "Hello is the the RCMP?? I'm calling about my neigbour Billy Bob Smith. He is hiding marijuana in his firewood!"

The next day the RCMP descends on Billy Bob's house and search the shed where the firewood is kept. They bust open every piece of firewood, but find no marijuana. They apologize to Billy Bob and leave. The phone rings at Billy Bob's..

"Hey Billy Bob, did the RCMP come to your house?"

"Yep"

"Did they chop all your firewood?"

"Yep"

"Happy Birthday Buddy!"

The Canadian government today announced that it is changing its emblem from a Maple Leaf to a CONDOM.
Apparently it more accurately reflects the government's political stance.
A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed.
Dang, it just doesn't get more accurate than that!

Re: smile smile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 17 smile smile

Policeman testifies in Court

If you ever testify in court, you might wish you could have been as sharp as this policeman. He was being cross-examined by a defense attorney during a felony trial. The lawyer was trying to undermine the policeman's credibility....

Q: "Officer -- did you see my client fleeing the scene?"

A: "No sir. But I subsequently observed a person matching the description of the offender, running several blocks away."

Q: "Officer -- who provided this description?"

A: "The officer who responded to the scene."

Q: "A fellow officer provided the description of this so-called offender. Do you trust your fellow officers?"

A: "Yes, sir. With my life."

Q: "With your life? Let me ask you this then officer. Do you have
a room where you change your clothes in preparation for your daily duties?"

A: "Yes sir, we do! "

Q: "And do you have a locker in the room?"

A: "Yes sir, I do."

Q: "And do you have a lock on your locker?"

A: "Yes sir."

Q: "Now why is it, officer, if you trust your fellow officers with your life, you find it necessary to lock your locker in a room you share with these same officers?"

A: "You see, sir -- we share the building with the court complex, and sometimes lawyers have been known to walk through that room."

The courtroom erupted in laughter, and a prompt recess was called.

Some various odds and ends you may want to note:

CompuDude is less than three weeks from taking the top points spot on the team.

Million Point Man is under a week's time from living up to his name here at MOT (he's long done that personally).

A special congratulations goes out to PohSoon on your double milestones today!

Some folks that are team members that have gone quiet this month (hopefully they're on a well-deserved vacation!):

We miss you and hope to hear from you soon!

For those of you on machines, probably less than 3-4 years old, hopefully you are running BOINC. It better uses your machine's capabilities, especially on the new multi-core machines. If you'd like to switch but have questions, don't hesitate to ask here! We'll be glad to help.

We all use our machines differently and have different needs but if you are only crunching when your machine is not active, consider letting it crunch all the time. I have had BOINC crunching on mine for over a year and haven't seen it slow me down doing any work on my machine. BOINC's handy there too as it's very easy to "pause it" if needed. In fact, I run my machine 24x7 also with no problems (though I do make a point to reboot at least once a week). Every bit of crunching helps and is most definitely appreciated so no one should feel guilty of anything. I mention this simply to jog your mind as to new possibilities from changing circumstances.

Don't forget to tell your friends and co-workers about WCG. Let's get them crunching with us! Even better, have them join us here at MOT (although I'd be quite happy just with them crunching for WCG)!

Finally, take a moment and say hi to the rest of us here. We'd love to hear from you (I know I would!).
