Boinc : WCG communication deferred error

WCG has always worked fine with my Boinc client, but for the past couple weeks it has been displaying a "Communication deferred" error, and then just shows a time when it will try again to communicate. I tried removing WCG and adding it again, but that did not work. I am currently also running poem@home, rosetta@home, and malariacontrol.net and those all work fine. No communication issues there.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or have a fix? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Can you post a piece of the event log, when the agent tries connecting to wcg?

Since wcg needs a secure connection as the only project, anything changed between you and the isp? Firewall, proxy, av to name a few.

Re: Boinc : WCG communication deferred error

I don't believe anything has changed, but it could have. I do run this on my work computer when I'm not here so the IT department definitely could have changed some settings.

Re: Boinc : WCG communication deferred error

The Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates has been seen before. You can Search the forum for Peer+certificate+cannot to get a full list of previous instances. One I looked at might be helpful:

Usually this means that the compute clock needs resetting. Here is the complete list of possibilities : https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/...ead,15682_offset,0#121477

Start Here lists most error messages. Just search for something like 'CA AND certificate' in the Start Here forum.
