Can anyone tell me if it is possible to combine results from 2 different CPID's?
I have one allocated by Rosetta@home/Ralph@home and another allocated from WCG. I would appreciate at least knowing if it was possible and who to contact. |

Evodude,
----------------------------------------By registring the same e-mail address in the BOINC device Profile at both Prjects, the x-project ID will be used for both. Then in BOINC global stats you can see the BOINC credits of your projects combined. Each Unique email adress has its own CPID! Will take a day or so before the changes flow thru cheers

Doesn't Work! I work with 32 BOINC projects, use the same email address and the same name. But only WCG has an own other CPID. And this already since months! Why?

I recall an issue with casing. Make sure your email address is lower case.

I recall an issue with casing. Make sure your email address is lower case. My thanks to you as well. After making all lower case in email address, CPID synced up. Then for some reason, today WCG has changed CPID to a complete different one. hmmm...... go figure. |

In principle it should sync up again, long as the email account remains absolutely identical on all projects linked with the particular device(s).
----------------------------------------WCG is not on full BAM/AMS and every time I open up a new project i get a new CPID (temporarily). Still at BOINCstats site all sums up perfectly, which should be the main concern.

I started with UD agent, then switched to BOINC when I realized the two don't "communicate". (My bad!)
Now I have a separate CPID for WCG under the same e-mail address (yes, case and all) and I cannot get the second CPID to disappear and my WCG to fall under the first. Plus I have no idea if my WCG total reflects points under both UD and BOINC -- not, admittedly, a huge deal, but still ... Up until now, I didn't think I was particularly stupid, distributed computing-wise, but I'm beginning to have my doubts. |

hmmmm have you used the same member name when registering the BOINC client? The BOINC credits x 7 + the UD Agent credits should add up to the total points reported on the My Grid stats page. The CPID is only relevant if running multiple DC projects on BOINC e.g. WCG+Simap (i tend to write things folk already know ;>)
