Re: Formula One 2007 Season

McLaren cheaters story continues: devilish shame on you

F1 EXCLUSIVE: McLaren Listened to Ferrari Radio, Says Raikkonen
Raikkonen wrote that during his time as a McLaren driver the silver team "systematically" listened to the Scuderia's radio transmissions.

One of the key submissions to the World Motor Sport Council on Thursday came from Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen, we can reveal.
The Ferrari driver stated in writing that while he was at McLaren from 2002 until 2006 the team systematically listened to Ferrari’s radio transmissions, which are supposed to be scrambled.

This was put to Ron Dennis in Paris on Thursday, and reportedly a long silence followed before he came up with a reply.
Intriguingly, the Kimi evidence was not part of the report released by the FIA today, and thus has not reached the public domain until now.

Ironically in July Mika Salo revealed to a Finnish newspaper that when at Ferrari in 1999 he regularly received transcripts of Mika Hakkinen’s radio conversations.
Unfortunately for Salo he was driving a Ferrari at the Spa 24 Hours the week that story emerged. A “correction” was soon sent from Maranello explaining what the Finn had meant to say was that in those primitive days sometimes teams accidentally overheard the conversations of rivals…

Re: Formula One 2007 Season

Yes it looks like Ferrari's race.

It's all rather sad though. As Frank Williams said, there has always been traffic in what the other fellow was up to and it's hardly surprising when personnel change teams regularly. I mean did Kimi say nothing to Ferrari of what went on with his previous employer.

And, when a international decision was made to have but one tyre maker and that happened to be the one Ferrari had been using for years it's hardly surprising that all the teams are looking for hints as to how to deal with this enforced change in the best possible way.

I'll probable watch tomorrow but I don't think I'll be alone in feeling that perhaps I should forget the whole thing.

Re: Formula One 2007 Season

Have PiP for quick flip-flopping.... the satellite box allows 1 channel at the time and the second costs 7 Euro a month. That's Sky (the monopoly option).

Re: Formula One 2007 Season

Off they are I am on Fox Sports smile

Aside from being the home to one of the greatest circuits on the Formula One calendar, Spa is recognised throughout the world for its water. The Romans were the first people to discover its natural springs deep in the Ardennes countryside, and people still visit the town today in search of hydrotherapy. The biggest industry in the town is the famous bottled water company, Spa.

The mention of water is never far from people’s lips at the circuit, which is eight kilometres from the town. One of the most fearsome corners on the lap is Pouhon, which translates into English as ‘water well’ and the Ardennes has a micro-climate all of its own, hence rain tyres are never far from the cars.

The bright lights of Liege and Brussels are a 40-minute and two-hour drive respectively, so there is something for everyone at the Belgian Grand Prix.

Re: Formula One 2007 Season

A 1 2 by the whiter than white Ferrari Team biggrin

322221133(9)1(5)2(4) still leaves Lewis in P1 with 3 races to go.

A nail biting end to the season - next up 30th September at the Fuji Speedway in Japan a new venue for everyone

cool
