Today, I am getting an odd message on all my PCs all of a sudden:
"Agent Paused, See www.wcgrid.org/cause.html" I can't see any reason that the problem is on my end. I do all the projects. HELP!!!?? |

Hi,
----------------------------------------This issue has been reported in various threads on different WCG fora like HCMD and GC too. Didactylos has passed the message to the technicians. You may want to read the 'Who should *not* use BOINC ' thread. Unless the mindset is to run the UD agent or HCMD phase 1 project specifically, all reasons are given there why you should consider migrating to BOINC. cheers

Agent Paused message
même problème en France (depuis 14h00 GMT ce 31 Mai 2007) qui a succédé à une détection de virus/ver dans un fichier depuis hier (2fois) par anti-virus Avast dans le fichier : wcgrid_hcmd.state C:\Program Files\worldcommunitygridagent\ud_15212972_0.dir\ wcgrid_hcmd.state Virus/Ver : Nutcracker family je ne sais si les 2 problèmes sont liés ? à suivre Thanks bernard |

I been getting the same here too.. likely happened overnight EDT.. my output today is very low compared to what it normally is... hope it is fixed soon... |

hmmm virus of the nutcracker family hmmm now it's time to tell what AV agent is being utilized to identify if we have a commonality here.
----------------------------------------I have a fresh HCMD and no alerts on Avast with a definition library update just hours ago. The science version number did not change and is still ud_15212972.exe.

I have received work units on two of my computers, but the third one still gets Agent paused... after three hours of retrying.
Are the servers just slow? |

Uplinger has just confirmed that the servers are running flat out.
The techs are looking into it. |

As Didactylos has posted I am looking into why the servers are running at 100%. This will cause agents to basically wait in line until one of those spots comes available. Your agent will try to reconnect and if there's room, they will be given work.
