Bookmark the below thread at Berkeley for staying informed of changes: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=1668 I've tried to find all the changes that Kevin put in and gave a comment on. See the latest addition. I'll ask Rom and Kevin if there's more and then add it. Thank you Jord (and Sekerob later) for providing the link to this information I was looking for since I know of a 5.10.22 version. Practical note to anybody with the same following problem: I do not see the code contained in cc_config.xml in Jord's changelog unless I increase the font size (under Firefox 2.0.0.7). With the default font size I can only see the vertical line on the left. Regarding what you describe about this cc_config.xml file I do not know if it is not working or if it has been added after I installed 5.10.22 over 5.10.20 on October 6. I have not lost mine at all, which is fine for me because I would have found a little shocking that the backup file which is recommended cannot be created by the installation procedure itself! Cheers. Jean. |

With the default font size I can only see the vertical line on the left. If you never change the font size when reading the forum do not waste your time wondering about the above problem: it seems that I have this problem only if I have changed the font size in the post which provides the link to Jord's changelog. If I don't do it the code shows fine. Cheers. Jean. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by JmBoullier at Oct 8, 2007 7:45:13 AM] |

There's even a Start Here FAQ for the BOINC Version FAQ ;>) http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=16642
----------------------------------------The cc_config.xml seems still not to be created at clean installation. If it does not exist, BOINC will just use certain defaults to ensure a minimum set of messages is being logged. Here's my spartan version including those defaults. <cc_config>The <save_stats_days> increases the Statistics graphs in BOINC from default 30 to 90 days. If set it will take 2-3 months to build the local history.

There's even a Start Here FAQ for the BOINC Version FAQ ;>) http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=16642 I was thinking of it when I wrote "Thank you Jord (and Sekerob later)"! ![]() So, you say the cc_config.xml file is not created when installing Boinc new, and I say it was not replaced when I upgraded over 5.10.20. Looks like this part of the install procedure is not working exactly as intended... ![]() Although that should not create too serious problems. Cheers. Jean. |
