Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Morning Base Campers!
A full score of us have settled in at our Captain's snowy camp ground in Finland
- the camp is peacefull, the only sounds are the horned owl lamenting his defeat to Denmark 2-1
and the faint hiss from the hole in the lake opposite the sauna
- and the howling right after the hiss
- but you get used to it after a while.

Maybe Base Camp already has absorbed each and every possible cruncher
with a quest for adventure, travelling, good food and drink, friendships criss-crossing the globe
and with a well developed sense of humour/humor and imagination in his rucksack.
If there still sits one here or there, he or she are welcome to apply at our Base Camp Forum gate.
You'll be put to work at once crunching with our Finnish Captain ...

BTW - we are in a challenge by proxy now.
Our clever Captain entered "7th birthday challenge created by SETI.Germany" starting today.
I'm not really literate about all the numbers and figures, but I would think
we should stand a good chance of a decent placement
considered how well *The Survivors" did while we were there.

but I was so off kelter from anxiety that I bruised Rosie sad

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

A three day job - full recovery - bill bigger than my deductable from the insurance
- no problem with insurance - will get a replacement car for the duration.

My insurance company is called Tryg - meaning "Secure".
They have been very good to me when needed - free shrink - so,
I did not bother to find out if I could save a dime anywhere else.
I feel Tryg - Secure with them, so they have my business.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

blushing Thank you on behalf of the Base Campers, Captain.
Good Afternoon Base Campers!
The same crew as yesterday are crunching along the best they can.
Who could ask for anything more?
Well, we could ask that a couple of crunchers who are looking for a team with a vision
- a world where no child should suffer from cancer -
would join our host team. I assure you you will get an alert and attentive captain.
He's friendly, and his little girl's mother makes the best cakes, you can imagine.
So why are you hesitating?
These Boots Are Made for Walking
In our host captain's thread, I showed a picture a couple of days ago of a remarkable church
that has been built into a cliff in Finland's capital, Helsinki.
But did you know that Finnish Alvar Aalto was the architect of Washington-Dulles Airport?

And that Finland has a hotel made of ice?

with reindeer skin on the beds?

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

smileI'm glad you know whom to think of, Ghostie
- and I'm ironing my nice dress

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
In a moment the 20 of us will be joined by USAFA 82,
who just promised us to sign up today
- just in time for the cake at our host Captain's over the weekend.
Welcome, USAFA 82 rose

By proxy we're taking part in the The 7th Birthday Challenge.
SETI.Germany has a scoreboard of the third degree.
You should take a look at this
Our host team started out being a very decent #11
- this has now improved to an even more decent #9
- in front of BOINC Italy, Australia and UK,
- and Vulture Central III may be ready to give a kingdom for RAMMIE right now.
But he's a man who dances to his own blues music, and to Base Camp he's priceless.

This Trek #31 is one of the calmest, I have tried.
It just feels like smooth sailing aboard the Sea Stallion of Glendalough

- thank you, deltavee, for helping me save a small fortune rose

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
rose PecosRiverM, you left for other pursuits
- trying to beat your captain, I'm afraid .... shame on you
Thank you very much for your contribution to yet another worthwhile Trek.

Apart from PecosRiverM leaving, there has been no changes.
We just roll along.
Even being #9 in the WCG Birthday Challenge is unchanged.

Of course, we shall always be happy to welcome New Campers
- and we should certainly appreciate if some of all the team-less crunchers
decided to join our host team and its very dedicated Captain.
