Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
Nobody left our current Trek - on the contrary:
blackheeler joined.
Welcome to this Trek rose

I also noticed that a brand new cruncher, JobGG, who came to WCG today,
has joined our Finnish Captain.
It's my guess that JobGG has joined as a permanent member
- which is exactly what we hope to obtain with all our noise.

As for the 7 Year WCG Birthday Challenge our
host team is still #9 out of more than 100 teams.
I find that both impressive and interesting,
because we are not used to see ourselves
measured against other teams, us not really being a team
- but a movement, he-he ....
Up Where We Belong - Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
If you are in doubt, you can do one of three things:
1. Join our host team - link in my sig
2. Try Base Camping for size - please register at our Forum - link in my sig
3. Nothing - no link in my sig
- but you can do something :)
Can Can

Let's Twist Again

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Do you refer to me becoming the step sister of Diana?
It's not DianaG, but Danish Diana from "Tenn et lys ... light a cande"
- a support group for victims of the July 22, 2011, murders in Oslo, Norway -
with whom I have become very good friends.
It should say "candle" but the founder of the group is dyslexic,
and we love her "cande" now!
Danish Diana is also my Facebook friend and she adopted me into her family,
where I chose to become her step sister.
You are always my sisser, sweet, sweet ♥♥ Elaine ♥♥

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
Yet another day of bliss on Trek #31.
Nobody came, nobody left.
pwrguru visited our Base Camp Forum, but doesn't seem to feel like trekking
until our Christmas Trek - and I'm not gonna try to persuade him, am I?
Our host team remains #9 in the WCG 7 year birthday challenge.
We do Charlie Chaplin among the subjects in Hexagame, hence this:

Last Friday I went to my city's answer to Daytona Beach: Karrebæksminde and made a few pictures:

Those of you who like geography like I do,
may like to see where I took my pictures.
Karrebæksminde is to the south-east of Denmark's main island, Zealand.
You will be able to see the short dug canal under the bridge.
That leads inland to a fjord, and from there a long dug canal will let you
sail right up to the city of Næstved where we have a harbour.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I know this is not the pictures you're angling for, sunfolk.
Ghost Plane will take care of that for you when she has finished her chain saw job.

TLD, what you see is a normal coast with islands - the white part along the sea is sandy beach.
This particular piece of coastline is in a tiny scale comparable to the islands forming a barrier
at the Intracoastal Waterway on the American East Coast.
The sea deposits materials and smoothens out the coast line as time goes by, geologically spoken.
We don't really have seawalls, but on the southern part of the West Coast
we have levees to protect the flat, flat marsh land from violent storms in the North Sea.
Also at the socalled "South Sea Islands" of Lalandia, Falstria and Moenia to the south of Zealand
they have levees to protect against flooding that happens when too much water
has been squeezed into the Baltic Sea
- direction our current Captain in Finland -
and wants to return westwards head over heels.

This picture is Rosie's seawall - so to speak - where she hurt her stomach.
She was fitted with the best winterboots money could buy
- ContiWinter Contact TS800 by Continental was the testwinner in Europe -
this morning along with an in/out thermometer, and she also had a sign with her name.
I guess I really shouldn't, because it will make me easily recognizable when speeding ...
but then again: It also makes it easy to spot her in parking areas.

d oh

Poor Rosie. I'm not sure The Beast would have seen and avoided that either. It's not exactly marked, is it? The Beast has lovely shoes for driving in the wet and excellent stability when hitting standing water. Love the way he hunkers down and muscles through storms.

Say hello to The Beast from Rosie :))
Oh, and I love the way whe wiggles in and out between the Mercers and Bimmers
who have no idea what this ladybird is up to when kissing the 105 mph mark ...

TLD, I'm afraid I thought you referred to the map, but it might be the picture of the breakwater.
There are a set of two hugging the entrance to the narrow opening under the bridge.
They provide calm waters for the ships to take proper aim
and alongside one of them are yacht moorings.

At another place where Guitar Man posted this one that makes it har to keep your feet on the floor
