He's absolutely beautiful - and a star, Saphir12
![]() I suppose he thinks stefada is a star, too. I understand he was abandoned and stefada took him home. How old is he? |

Busy, busy - hope you make it in one piece acpartsman and without speeding tickets
Good Morning Base Campers! What do I know? Best as I think Base Camp would never see an EVGA-boy in any crew anymore, yodap – the Rastafari Orangutan – committed himself. It will be easy to see who joins here as opposed to Hungary with 700+ members, because Captain csjlman has only one active cruncher these days. Himself. I just checked. And upon doing so I found that not only did yodap commit himself. He plain joined! Thank you, yodap, and welcome ![]() I take it you prefer the usual humble quarters? You know what? The weather is so nice in Mexico City – no shoveling of snow. They have tiled all the footpaths in the Alameda Central, so why don’t you just seek out a good place, and I’ll be over with you fruit bowl ’shortly’. With the modest contribution of yodap and little mermaid the Cahuamos results graph did this: Pretty cool ![]() ![]() Look forward to seeing how this will play out in two days ![]() We have a suggestion for a badge which is in the process of being scrutinized by the review committee ![]() The chairman of the committee argues that he cannot review a word he doesn’t know. So what does Cahuamos mean? We need you to explain, cjslman. We need a badge. We cannot have a badge until we know the meaning of *Cahuamos* unless I start being dictatorial, which I would rather avoid. It would be nice if we would be able to make so much publicity that one or more crunchers decided to join you on a permanent basis. None of SeriousCrunchers' though. It's nice to know where they can be found. cjslman, one more reason to please check in here is that we need your selling points as to why new crunchers should join Cahuamos - is it the climate, the food, the music, the people, your personality? |

Little Mermaid.
---------- As Saphir12 said, Louloup knows how to share with others, in exchange for hugs (He asks for all the time, it is the limit of the harassment). That being said, a beautiful woman, young, intelligent, with humor, etc ... If it does not get along with him, or that Louloup does not like her, she will not go home. For sure. That's my detector, to find out if people are pretty inside. He will be 4 years old in May, and when I got him back he was 8 months old. Since then, we are almost always together. Saphir12. ---------- Thanks for the photo. But no, he does not take the break, when we are beautiful like him, we do not need! ![]() |

I think it's a good idea to use Louloup as a barometer for gauging the character of prospective friends.
I didn't think he was as old as four years. He looks so young. Have you come to terms with the woman who liked your WCG posts? Have you made a cruncher out of her and made her join Kraland? |

Little Mermaid ...
---------- I think that with what he has lived before, he can feel everything. Even I, and yet we love each other, I think the question does not even arise. But if I'm stressed or laughing, it makes the difference very well. When we are both, just with the eyes, 'we talk to each other?' As for the Lady, I go slowly. She still 'like' my last comment on the WCG FaceBook, so she's already crunching! I want to get her to join Team Kraland, but we have to give time to the time ... ![]() NB: Louloup understands better than me English, and has bases of Spanish and German. Aeronautics is a bit more complicated, but he knows where the stick or the freesbee goes ... ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 31, 2018 3:28:17 AM] |

Did you pick up Louloup at a dog shelter?
If so, no doubt that he – as any animal and human being for that matter – has a refined ability to sense danger. Of course the two of you talk with your eyes and your body language. Congratulations on nudging the lady to crunch! Let us hear when your gentle nudging makes her join Kraland, too ![]() Avez-vous pris Louloup dans un refuge pour chiens? Laissez-nous entendre quand votre petit coup de coude la fait aussi rejoindre Kraland NB: Louloup understands better than me English, and has bases of Spanish and German. Aeronautics is a bit more complicated, but he knows where the stick or the freesbee goes ... ![]() Could you let me speak to Louloup himself, please ![]() |

Cahuamos - what does it mean? Is it the plural of cahuamo? Let's try to find out!
We use Google and type 'meaning cahuamos'. Here it says that 'caguama' (which seems to look very similar to cahuamo(s)) "This is a type of tortoise, but in mexico it is slang for a 40oz beer of Carta blanca." (answer from 2004) and that answer's got a reply from 2008: "Caguama pronounced ca-wa-ma. 32 ounces(940ml) of beer. Usually Tecate, Carta Blanca, Victoria, Corona Familiar Pacifico or Sol. not 40oz cuz mexican beer doesn't come in that size. a Caguama is a sea turtle(loggerhead). That's how the bottle is shaped like a little turtle, if your drunk enough. In Spainish Caguama is translated to English as simply turtle." A little lower at the results page of Google we see a link to the caption "The Geography of Fishing in British Honduras and Adjacent Coastal ..." (digitalcommons.lsu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=2116&context=gradschool...) and the text underneath: "country is defined by the Rio Sarstoon. All of the coastline of British Honduras, its offshore islands ...... increases until the distinct boundary of the mound is found. This boundary is usually sharply defined by a ...... cahuamos during the breeding season (March-April). According to witnesses, these large turtles mate at sea." This is interesting. Let's click on it. ... We land at page 198 and read: out. Turtle fishermen go to some pains to make a decoy as they believe it is particularly effective in catching cahuamos during the breeding season (March-April). Ac cording to witnesses, these large turtles mate at sea and the males instinctively "rush" any floating object of appropriate size. if the turtle is not entangled in the net during his preliminary maneuvers, fishermen maintain it is not uncommon to see one of them attempt to mount the decoy. So 'cahuamos' seem to be large turtles, originally. Can we find more proof? Let's google once more, using "cahuamos large turtle". What do we find here? A little scrolling and there is this "Geography of Fishing in British Honduras and Adjacent Coastal ..." again, now with some other link: https://ambergriscaye.com/pages/mayan/geographyoffishing.html. Can we find the word 'cahuamos' here? Let's search for the word in this webpage. (ctrl-F cahuamos) And there is that text again: "... as they believe it is particularly effective in catching cahuamos during the breeding season (March-April). According to witnesses, these large turtles mate at sea ..." Brought to you by SpeurneusⓇ. ![]() |

You are amazing, Speurneus!
----------------------------------------![]() Your dad is, too ![]() Nothing less! Have your reward ![]() ![]() - sorry, your Master took care of the Corona Familiar Now ![]() What does the chairman of the review committee say? This is not Base Camp's usual way of operation - but you are no usual cruncher either, captain adriverhoef - but a very much appreciated guest who cannot trek because of the constriction of captainhood BUT - after this longwinded opening: You are cordially invited to decide what our badge for the Cahuamos trek will show: 1. A hammock 2. A large stein of beer (Mexican) 3. A giant turtel (preferably not in the process of looking too intensely at a decoy) 4. A - ![]() ![]() Thank you Adri - someone help me stop laughing - my belly hurts!!! - and soon it will be back to 'The Undutchables' - the single copy owned by all of the Kingdom of Denmark on loan from Roskilde University to ME! ![]() EDIT: Spelling of 'turtel' corrected into 'turtle' - why is it pronounced turtel ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 31, 2018 10:08:49 AM] |
