Yes, yes, I shall be happy to meet the lady you are negotiating with
and assure her that it's easy for grannies to crunch, and that it doesn't hurt - neither her or her computer. It can be hard to explain on Facebook, but not impossible. You can do it, stefada ![]() Good luck recruiting a new Kraland member ![]() ![]() Oui, oui, je serai heureux de rencontrer la dame avec qui vous négociez et je assure a elle que c'est facile pour les mamies de croquer, et que ça ne fait elle mal pas - ni son ordinateur. Good Afternoon Base Campers!
Where is acpartsman? I realize I get withdrawals ![]() Today turned out very well. My ’Books in English’ reading club took my taking over the leadership come September fairly well. Only two defected ![]() I have 13 Facebook friends. They are as different as you get them. One is eagerly campaigning for the Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn in the UK, and recently he recommended a book called ’23 Things they don’t Tell you About Capitalism’ – I picked that up at the library; it didn’t come with reading time. But if I didn’t indulge in all those word games I might recover some time to read. But I constantly fail the marshmallow test … just one more, and one more ... ![]() ![]() Another Facebook friend mailed me a very funny application form for Obamacare which I had to put in my ’Pending’ folder for later. The afternoon I spent at a lecture arranged by the local chapter of the national Heart Association. It dealt with the emotional consequenses of ’becoming a heart patient’. It was very good. And it was a gift with perfect timing for me. Just what I needed right now when I feel some kind of crises sneaking in on me. According to the heart nurse who lectured, all the feelings you experience – and the ’pendulum dealing' with them – are normal. She quoted Karen Blixen, twice nominated for the Nobel prize and author of among other things ’Out of Africa’, for ”When you tell, you put things together that have been broken.” So when your brain picks out episodes and thoughts and churn them and lay them back in order to take them out another day and process them further, it helps you to come to terms with what broke. I recognized it. I used that technique for fours years to come to terms with the end of my marriage of 40 years. ![]() She touched a lot on our ’reptile brain’ and very aptly called it our 'pheasant brain' too - pheasants are not the sharpest knives in the drawer – the 200 mio old one that governs us when push comes to shove – and which cannot be subdued in those instances. That was the one that gave me a diarrhea as a response to the stress of being in life danger readying me for flight or fight that night. I mentioned it, and afterwards people thanked me for bringing it up, because it is a kind of taboo and most find it shameful. Several had experienced that, others had vomited. The purpose of the clever autonomous body managed by that ancient structure in the back of our skull is to help us survive by all means – one them is to empty your stomach one way or another to make us fit for running or stay and do battle. One interesting detail she mentioned was that you get hypersensitive to sound. Aha! That’s why I don’t feel like listening to my downloaded radio programs and turn off the music … The friendly people there also gave me all the information I could wish for as to continuing my heart fitness, walks, and arrangements. It will be all right. All of it. You can choose to survive or to live. I want to live. ![]() |

---------- I'm not too kisses, with my friends made 'checks'! But you, it's a day on is seen, it will be big kiss on the forehead direct! That being said, I have to show the way, to a francophone lady who already crunch, but who like me has a little trouble with English ... But I have an extraordinary Danish Joker, I cheat. ![]() |

Une dame francophone?
Are you talking about the Granny or about your capitaine Saphir12, stefada? And I prefer the forehead model. I always go right cheek when the other person does too .... awkward collisions ![]() Une dame francophone? Parlez-vous de la granny ou de votre capitaine Saphir12, stefada? Looks like they're going to hire me a helper Will you have a say as to which applicant will be hired?![]() I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go ♪♫♪♫ Neat notes ![]() Sure, you installed the song in our heads, acpartsman, I’m not sure whether we should thank you for it ![]() In Rhode Island many had vanity plates on their cars. I remember trailing one that said ’IOUzero’. It took me a while to figure that one out. Probably because I had not heard about IOUs at the time. It’s been a beautiful day. Sun, sun, sun … we cannot get enough of it now ... I plan on repossessing myself by the April 12th. Today I lent my arm for drawing blood and a good deal of my body for the electrodes and cables for an EKG to be used Friday when I'll meet the heartnurse as part of my rehabilitation. Afterwards my entire body was recycled in the fitness class. New excersises each time to keep the level of pain constant. ![]() Those on my heart fitness team who have finished the heartnurse part also had a group discussion about the mental aspect, saw a dietist, and ![]() – a hospital priest. As if I had a religion .... OK, they mean well, and some may find it as useful as I did the emotion lecture yesterday. My foolhardy signing up to be in charge of two reading clubs entails some bureaucracy and constructive literary thinking. George Saunders? ’Tenth of December’. I read that a couple of years ago, and he's on my list of favorite authors. Man Booker Prize 2017. Very different style. Short stories. I cannot believe how much stuff for discussion is laid down in short stories. They are so condensed. In all of Denmark we have 11 copies of that one in English. That should do. I foolhardied some more. Signed up to visit a district of my town to collect money for the national Heart Association on April 22. Seems to be the least I can do to thank them for their lecture from heaven yesterday … and their piggy banks are really neat. ![]() Base Campers, if this continues, I shall have nothing to offer as to sightseeing in Mexico but a road map … ![]() |

---------- I do not know who this lady is! I think you and Louloup have a secret admirer, stefada. Is it possible for you to invite her to become your Facebook friend? Then perhaps you could inform her better of your passion for WCG and then recruit her for Team Kraland.
I just made search for ’how-to-do-la bise’ and I chose this picture. Have you noticed that Bretagne is the place where les bises are least popular. No wonder you’re stingy. You grew up there, right? ![]() Je pense que vous et Louloup avez une admirateuse secrete, stefada. Est-il possibel pour vous de l'inviter à devenir votre amie Facebook? Good morning everyone.
----------------------------------------Thank you Stefada, I've been doing this along time and buy my computers with crunching in mind. I've reached the point where I won't even look at a PC unless it has at least 24 cores. Currently hoping to get a deal on a 72 core machine. At some point in my crunching life I've had PCs made by just about every company out there including custom builds and I can say that when looking for a PC, pick it up, if it's not heavy then it's cheaply made and it won't hold up. Dell performs best, E Machine (Gateway) and HP the worst. IE My HP 8 core PC at work runs a max or 10% CPU, weighs about 10 pounds and gives constant trouble, my Dell 8 core at home weighs 44 pounds and runs 100% CPU 24/7/365 and gives no trouble....ever. Dell is also the easiest and cheapest to upgrade. I can add a processor to a Dell usually for less than $50. The HP server at work was going to cost $800 to add a second processor to ( parts NA from HP ) so we bought a used server for $300 and robbed the parts out of it and modified them to fit. Y'all have a great day. Snowing here.....again. Had to turn off the AC last night and turn the heat back on.

![]() - and with a such passion ![]() Good Morning Base Campers! Just to say, I think I’m still alive. I fall asleep in front of the computer and only very, very sore butt muscles wake me up again. I am governed by three calendars. The Google one I fit with at least two e-mail reminders if it’s something important. This one was a four-hour-before one that went off. Very unusual. I use to put in a two-hour one and a 24 hour-one as a standard. Must have forgotten to set the 24-hour-one and messed up the two hour-one. I really have a thing with chronology. Embarrassing and stressful. ![]() ![]() It went off, because tonight we have our annual meeting in my condo complex which I had happily forgotten. I’ll probably fall asleep. I’ll tie a red rope around a finger to remind me to say NO to any suggestions that I run for anything in the board. You would think that saying yes to #2 substitute would be innocent. Well, five years ago I did. I was elected, thinking I showed my good will, BUT one board member stepped out of the board, and another one died, so I ended up doing minutes and making coffee for 2½ years. Oh, and I got the idea for us to to have new balcony fronts as our balconies were renovated and the old ones taken down in order to be reinstalled, and managed to collect a majority of signatures for us to approve of new ones. Hard to get bottle green aluminum from Germany to be compared to the babys**t brown on the remaining house. It’s such a pleasure to look at it now on a daily basis, and everybody likes it – also those who were against at the start. My wonderful new doctor wrote because I didn't pick up that phone; didn't say a sound; I'm afraid it has to do with crunching; that she has put an order on the lab server to have liver blodwork done in a month. It's the cholesterol lowering medicine that she suspects making trouble She was not alarmed, so it’ll be a beer tonight. ![]() |
