Yes, flodisar, the sunny hours link was broken. Here it is:
 In addition to the sensible things you already do for battling the unusual hot weather, you could go to the beach and take a swim. To me it seems as if the coolness you pick up from the ocean lingers for several hours. Would you swim in fresh or salt water if you decide to go to the beach where you live? Another thing is to take a trip in your car provided it has a/c.  smspell, thank you for this tour of some of the unusual buildings in your immediate area. Very interesting structures. It's amazing how much railroad stations look alike. Yours would not look all that out of place in Denmark. Same style, but less well maintained, I'm afraid  Has yours been recently renovated? The temperature might have gone higher on July 24 in Imperial, but clouds streaming in from the Gulf of California brought mostly cloudy skies by mid-afternoon, and rain showers began falling at 3:53 pm PDT. At the time the rain began, the temperature was an astonishingly high 119°F (48.3°C)—a new world record for the hottest temperature ever measured while rain was falling.
----------------------------------------.... One person did report that going outside after work while the rain was falling made it difficult to breathe, and felt hard on their heart.  |

----------------------------------------Thanks for the working image and the cooldown tips! :) Where I live it would be fresh water most likely, but I don't like beaches due to the amount of people gathering there, especially when it's this hot. The car AC tip is a good one and I have used it a few times. Just taking the car to a grocery store to get some good cool atmosphere and then in the store hang out for a while at the dairy and meat areas with all the refrigerators is really nice. Nap: That's some gruesome temperatures! I hear Portugal is having similar temperatures right now and I am so happy I'm not there right now. @ flodisar, they say the weather will stay like this more or less through August …
Our Danish firefighters are returning from your burning forests with lots of good impressions of expert coordination and cooperation from all Swedish authorities – something they obviously lack in Denmark …. @ acpartsman, I just finished ’Iron Sky’. It was fat fun. What really made me laugh aloud was something about a non-shaved part shaved into the shape of Hitler’s moustache … @ nap: I hope Idaho will cool down .... Good Morning Base Campers!
