Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Hello all BaseCampers!

Just got home, soaked in sweat after walking 250 meters (273 yards?) due to the 100% humid air at nights. During the days, 30-32 degrees C (86-90 F). Very, extremely unusual for Swedish summer to experience such temperatures almost every day since beginning of May! Probably never seen before since measurements started. Every day now waking up in a 30 C room sweaty and just thinking "I can't do this one more day!" and then you realize there is no escape and try to survive. :)

I am so glad I upgraded my "portable" air conditioner this year from a 7000 BTU unit to a 12000 BTU one. As I got home the temperature was 31.4 C (88.5 F) in the living room.

One week left of vacation now, but I shall enjoy it (to the extent possible) while it lasts since everything else would be a real waste of time.

Is there colder weather somewhere where you guys and gals live to where I can escape from this frying pan?

Hi nap biggrin Good to see you here smile

This is the number of sunny hours in Denmark this July as per the 30th.
With one day left it's the highest number of sunny hours since measurements began, so
flodisar
that's not the place to flee to - neither is Idaho wink
Good to see you're still with us.
Tomorrow, go open a fire hydrant like they do in New York City

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Ok, I've just packed up my tent and bags, and moved over to the new camp at Crunchers4Life and set up next to the only tent at the new base camp. I see "little mermaid" embroidered on the flap.

I drop my camp chair next to the campfire, open my ice chest and offer a beer to my fellow sojourner. pffftt! coffee The start of a new trek. "How long are we campin' out here boss?"

Completed work from my little family of crunchers should start showing up in the team stats soon. I can't wait to earn the badge with my profile on it! I don't remember posing for it though.

Cheers coffee

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good to see you here acpartsman. It was a way to Ohio. Good thing I have my grandfather's Pou du Ciel. Pull up a chair next to the campfire. Feel free to add to the growing pile of cans next to little mermaid. She is trying to build a tower I think.

That is very nice embroidery miss mermaid. Where is Eric_Kaiser and tanner2? They got here several weeks ago. My, this is a large and scenic camp, it has plenty of room to accommodate base campers. Lotsa room to land my aeroplane. I didn't hit any trees this time.

Cheers coffee

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I have to shut down for the remainder of today. There will be a planned shutdown of the power supplying my crunchers while crews change out some poles.

Cheers coffee

sad Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

There are 2 seasons in Idaho. There is Summer, and a season that is hotter than Summer the entire state is on fire and all the roads are under construction.
Cheers
