Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Little Mermaid,

stefada, are you about to establish a black market for our badges

angel

----------
But no, what an idea !

It's just a hostile OPA, with unfair competition. We provide free and faster.

NixChix,

I think you are the first to make me want to come to the USA (Do not blame me, there is so much to see in the world, like the Chilean cordillera that I loved).

What are your laws if you have a dog? Is there a quarantine? I know that in Quebec, it is enough that he is vaccinated against rabies, and that he has his passport. But in the States, I do not know at all how it's going. And it is absolutely out of the question that Louloup be separated from me more than one day.

And exactly,
what is OPA,
stefada?
- it rhymes dancing
BTW, I noticed at the police station I passed
- it's close to me - they do not take any chances
that they had - as an national entity observing flag days - the Faroese flag flying for the first time ever.
We have institutionalized the Greenland and Faroe Island 'national days' as flag days
- today is the Faroese St. Olai Day and the Faroese flag is so beautiful
love struck

Litlle Mermaid,

----------
An OPA (Take-over bid ?) is a stock market maneuver, to take control of a company, by buying a maximum of shares by small holders. I can not say more, it was just to make the joke.

Une illustration sympa / A nice illustration ?

Hello stefada. This may help.
Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days before entering the United States. This requirement does not apply, however, to puppies less than three months of age or to dogs originating or located for at least six months in areas designated by the U.S. Public Health Service as being rabies-free.
The following procedures pertain to dogs arriving from areas that are not free of rabies:
A valid rabies vaccination certificate should accompany the animal. This certificate should be in English or be accompanied by a translation. It should identify the animal, the dates of vaccination and expiration, and be signed by a licensed veterinarian. If no expiration date is specified, the certificate is acceptable if the date of vaccination is no more than 12 months before the date of arrival.
If a vaccination has not been performed, or if the certificate is not valid, the animal may be admitted if it is confined immediately upon arrival at a place of the owner's choosing. The dog must be vaccinated within four days after arrival at the final destination, but no more than 10 days after arrival at the port of entry. The animal must remain in confinement for at least 30 days after being vaccinated.
If the vaccination was performed less than 30 days before arrival, the animal may be admitted but must be confined at a place of the owner's choosing until at least 30 days have passed since the vaccination.
Young puppies must be confined at a place of the owner's choosing until they are three months old, then they must be vaccinated. They must remain in confinement for 30 days.
Dogs that arrive in Hawaii or Guam, both of which are free of rabies, are subject to the state's or territory's quarantine requirements, in addition to whatever other Public Health Service requirements, above, apply."
It doesn"t matter what state, importation laws are the same thruogh the continental US.. Hawaii is the only one that has strict quarantine laws.

I hope this helpd

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

smspell,

Merci !
---------
Thank you ! As I understand it (not sure with English, even with google trad'). Even if my Louloup is vaccinated, he must spend 30 days in quarantine anyway? He is vaccinated and chipped (the chip that replaced the tattoo), I have everything. But there is one thing that is not possible with his past, it is that I leave it (The time of the flight by plane would already be a torture, more, it is not even possible).

Offre Publique d'Achat - I understand, stefada
I didn't know you were an economy genious as well - you have many talents, young man
Do you miss Fossaw, too? sad
Hey, you and Louloup will have no trouble touring the USA - it's the UK that is the problem

smspell, thank you for the explanation of the rules for tourist dogs.
I suppose you know them from your time in Germany.
'Did many of the service men acquire dogs there that they wanted to bring back with them?

My goodness! The Netherlands, and Denmark seem to be hotbeds of rabies in bats

To be honest I asked my sister she has knowledge of about it. Check my last post to stefada. As for many talents, I am good at googling, and using Google translator and Babalon translator.
Captain is smspell whom we have had the pleasure to have a visit from here. He brought his pet. A very fat grizzly.
He is not fat,, he is fluffy I am nit sure what Fossaw is. Some of my married friends did have dogs, cats in Germany. Back then I think it was 1 to 3 months. We have problem with rabies here too, some years
Here's to a good week for you and all of Base Camp

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

smspell,

Merci !

Louloup

Thank you ! Now that I understand better, it means that I can come without problem, if I can get him to fly (take plane ?). That we have never done, and it is perhaps me who is most afraid (for him).

And, if I may, a big kiss on your sister's forehead. That it is not easy to recover a 'traumatized' dog, so I can not imagine the work when they come back from the war.

Even if they just ask for a little love. (Mine, I 'trained' it to look for toys)
