Smoke from a fire in the next county is so thick now that I can smell it inside the house. Wind shift ahead of the front that's supposed to bring severe weather in the morning. Went out and took my hibiscus and petunias out of the plant stands so they won't blow over.
Yes, I love blackcurrent. The local store has Ribena in an aisle marked "ethnic" with the other foreign food! |

"Etnic" - like that
Like "illegal alien" - was that once My air is filled with 1. from the outside seeping in: pig farmers' by product being brought out on the fields far away 2. from the inside seeping in: laquer in more than plentiful amounts on freshly sanded wooden floors What kind of severe weather would it be this time? |

Good Morning Base Campers
Outpost Trek #2 - U.S. Air Force @ Collatz Conjecture is churning along. The gap between Air Force's Nemesis and Air Force proper was reduced by another 2,3 mio overnight with the same crew at the helm. Wonder where that puts us measured by days. cswchan eductate us, please, and more congratulations to you. You received the Medal of Merit on your birthday for your work with the Scouts of Canada TLD has updated most what can be updated in our Base Camp Forum: Badges, Base Camp Census, what have you. Gotta admire this dedication thanks to which we are ready and fit to face the revealing rays of the Spring sun. Ghost Plane is bothered by smoke from fires in her neighboring county, and is putting her plants in a sheltered place to protect them from stormy weather expected to be coming up. Oh, and everybody and his cousin on this trek is loosing steam due to parts catching fire, crying, and dying .... Easy, easy does it. Don't break your backs, we'll get there. Well, nobody dared show up at the Check-in counter. We are not the begging kind. You know where to find us, cruncher .... ![]() Being such an oldie, I cannot resist the tunes that made a home in my ears of yore .... Speedy Gonzales - sporting a real tacky color scheme, he-he |

Yes, isn't it horrible.
----------------------------------------Must be far over and above anything. Have an RSS of this: http://www.breakingnews.com/feeds/rss/ and it's full of catastrophic weather. Pennsylvania, West Virginia - is that normal for tornadoes to go there? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 28, 2011 4:42:58 PM] |

Can't speak to West Virginia, but I remember eastern Kentucky just over the border getting some. My Uncle Mathew used to keep the weather radio on in the summertime he was so scared of them and would go sit in the root cellar.

Pretty Mermaid (don't be demure. I saw your picture) now that you are a big shot over at Base Camp may I ask you, if you would please, to put up a link to our new trek?
When I am here, I can't find the Airforce Collatz Conjecture team. It is such an awful name. Perhaps a link for joining also since you may have whetted some interest among our readers. We haven't officially put up tents yet and there are some 20 members who jumped the gun. I've been very eager for this trek myself...but I can no longer take a group of people in my hummer. Hummer is gone and I now have a tiny car. Late in Florida but I'll see you at the campgrounds tomorrow. And Ghostplane , I, for one, can drink up that 2 liter CocaCola. ZERO is my fav. I've not had any strange weather....but I'm thinking ahead to the Hurricane season and think Mom Nature might give us the eye next. |

Good Morning Base Campers
----------------------------------------Oliviathefirst, Grand Lady of Team Christians and Base Camper to Boot, let me make this attempt of an answer today's entry here: <snip>may I ask you, if you would please, to put up a link to our new trek?<snip> Do you mean the team thread for posting?Well, if you do, I have some difficulties myself. In the first place I couldn't get in but found a cat flap. Brave Dan Holtz acted as the middleman and made Mr. Joypipe - leader of The Coommunications Unit - remedy that - but I'm confused, and wrote an open letter to Mr. Joypipe - just a little, short note: "Joypipe, thank you very much for letting me in the front door. Felt like being appointed supreme commander of NORAD. Don't take this wrongly. Just look at it as me needing help after bouncing into that cat flap two or three times too many. Is it me, or? On the front page "Home", I see stats and in a bar to the right that welcomes me, a "Last Seen" list of recent visitors, Private Message indicating that pramo never picked up my note informing him that I by special rule bending fixed Hexagame so he had a wide, wide runway in front of him where he could make that "Aircraft" entry (not "Fashion", not "Dessert", but "Aircraft") successfully, to a subject he should know about being a member here. Felt bad for him standing there now and again with a hopeless item in front of him. Further down is a Chatbox which I never noticed before. So, I'll chalk up that Chatbox as one place for communicating. OK. Clicking "Forum" and see "Collatz Team" at the top. Click that and reveal two threads: "Collatz Outpost Trek" and "Outpost trekkers visiting". Both seem to be alive. Chalk up these two, making three places to talk. Knowing for sure, that I after terrible abstinences finally were able to speak a few words with alephnull, but that spirited message was nowhere to be found. Searching and searching as another Vicky Warshawski I finally found out that aforementioned missive sat in "Base Camp Trek Thread". One more place to exchange words, making a total of four. Have I missed any? Being awfully verbose I, of course, welcome all these outlets. On the other hand it might seem a tad confusing for me. What do you recommend I should do to keep up? And where should I post this novel? Well, not in Chatbox, which seems to be for one-liners." Always nice not to be the only one; I have noticed alephnull admitting to losing his way also. I sincerely hope that the Communications Unit shall decide upon at which places the friendly banter is going to take place, as I suppose the one-liner-Chatbox will remain, but that we may have to combine the three other parlors into a single one. <snip>It is such an awful name.<snip> Couldn't agree more.<snip>Perhaps a link for joining also since you may have whetted some interest among our readers. Exactly. What can you say? Never seen anything quite like it.We haven't officially put up tents yet and there are some 20 members who jumped the gun<snip> As to joining this Outpost #2 Trek I have copied the instructions I gave you, and which you found helped you in. I think they were based on TDL's write-up - but I may be mistaken. I'll null this link Let's have some music of furious passion sadly not felt since the era of muscle cars: Toreador Song [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 29, 2011 4:49:36 PM] |

Wonderful curiosity, Ghost Plane! Great music! Glad you like it. Very passionate, isn't it. Like that hat, too. Very stylish. What guns are we jumping? Are they big guns? Are they motorized? What do they shoot? The guns are absolutely innocent and peaceful. And I'm afraid they shoot nothing at all. They are the kind that are fired at the start of a race - a showpiece. ![]() Let's imagine a toy cannon like this to underline the festivity. Will there be a sequel to the epic? I most certainly hope so. ![]() Even I cannot talk that much ![]() Mr. Joypipe, Sir, please, please, please ... mercy .. Tune in for more Base Camp action! With a little help from my friends, yes ![]() ![]() How is your weather? |
