Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Morning Base Campers!
@BitBendersTech - see you later, friends

Outpost Trek #2 - U.S. Air Force @ Collatz Conjecture
It is as if we cannot really enjoy our break.
We are getting excited as circus horses smelling the sawdust. Adrenaline rushing.
We scrape the turf with our hooves, dance pirouettes, jump, throw up our hind legs, rear and only trot nice if we must.
Gearing up for May 1 - enjoy while it's there - it stops abruptly!
Sport thinks he hears a buzz, Dan likened it to more of a roar.
The numbers shape up nicely even as we haven't loosened the reins, yet.
Took a peek again: Since April 13 we have improved out situation by some 10,000,000 points ...
... me finks some jumped the gun royally.

GTCola2010, you were the catalyst for a Spring Cleaning in our Base Camp forum to benefit New Campers.
TLD and I rummaged through all our stuff, brushed off, systematized, and organized -
TLD out there in Western Washington, me over here in Denmark,
9 hours and 4,800 miles (that's 7,800 kilometers for the metrically inclined) apart.
It was a very special night. We like to think we built a sturdy foundation.
It didn't really take us all that long - time flies when you thrive.
Yes, it felt a little like dancing the Tango Jalousie of the day before yesterday
(the composer BTW being Jacob Gade of Denmark - who would have thought the land of
clumsy polar bears could foster a man able of putting music of that emotional grade together?)
And we didn't even bicker, she says
Yet, he says

Well, we did it because Base Camp means a lot to us, and it needed to be done.
But we wouldn't mind it having the side effect of seeing you lonely crunchers queue up at our Check-in counter.
Please consider becoming our New Base Camper in full or - if you belong to a team - in part by committing some of your CPU/GPU
doing my best to throw around these abbreviations as if I knew something
We - on our part - offer you a cozy place to hang out, a continuous flow of coffee not to mention the diversion of Trekking.
I suspect, well, I can actually feel it in my bones, being a seasoned Camper, that
Outpost Trek #2 - U.S. Air Force @ Collatz Conjecture: will be a memorable one, indeed.
Please act soon. Today we have April 25, Trek starts May 1, paperwork, red tape, snafus and what have you, will eat up three days.
he-he and reading all our stuff will take you a while
Soooo, turning the lights on for you at the Check-in counter right now.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Coffee, jubiiii
coffee coffee coffee
Today we bring an issue extraordinaire.
I went to places I didn't visit before. By chance I met a link by Sport in the SeriousCruncher's team thread.
It took me to The U.S.Air Force Collatz team. Here I learned that
Cruncher Pete and blackheeler having jumped the gun joined today.
I dared then proceed to the rooster.
Whauw .. small wonder the numbers are boiling. Familiar names everywhere. Look at this:
cswchan
Dan Holtz
pwrguru
aformentioned Cruncher Pete
Sport
aformentioned blackheeler
TLD
USAFA 82
orakk@bc
rwillis
T.G.Wakko
and little mermaid
also a Wolf is seen, but hardly our Lone one.
What I did not see was the forum where I chatted happily with one of the residents for a couple of weeks.
I trust it will surface at some point.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Told you I'm not cultured little mermaid.

I'm more of a Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn kind of guy. biggrin

And I - regardless - give you cultured
smile
Lone_Wolf, now you'll see me running to YouTube
to find out how it will sound to be free of that label
cultured
that sounds as if it is a bad thing that can be passed on ....

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Morning Base Campers
Outpost Trek #2 - U.S. Air Force @ Collatz Conjecture is more or less
up and running far ahead of time. The gap between
Air Force's Nemesis and Air Force proper
was reduced by almost 2,3 mio overnight with the same crew at the helm.

Well, not much to convey.

Lone_Wolf I don't think cultured comes off by listening to this.
Can't take my eyes off you
- but then again as a foreigner I have no idea where the fault lines run, really.

Let's see if it could get us some business at the Check-in counter.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Afternoon Base Campers
Yesterday we discussed a series of issues. Recruiting or not. Policy or not. Color or not. Feedback or not. Big shots or not.
Discussions like that are hard to carry out when you don't sit across from the other guy.
No smileys can make up for that expression on your face, the twinkle in your eye or the treacherous tear forming there.
But that's what we have to work with, and I think we all do it as well as we can.
I wish I didn't take off on the wrong foot, and if I hurt anyone, I'm truly sorry.
******************************************************************
This said: I think life is too short
- especially at my age -
for mulling and drab WCG posts.

I hope I shall keep feel like doing them, preferably in color, and if
even one of you have the slightest pleasure from one, I have hit my goal.

If you don't like them, don't read them, look at them or listen to them.
If you think they are lousy, make your own as you want it. It's not my thread, although I make it look that way.
Yesterday I weaved about our pre-Trek anxiety and likened it to that of circus horses smelling the sawdust.
I remembered an old song from an old Danish movie - the right kind where everything ends happily and the plot is simple.
The actor - Poul Reichardt - may be the Danish equivalent of Erroll Flynn - the perpetual lover #1.
It's crucial for him to get his horse "Ibrahim" to win the race and the pot of gold so he can marry his girlfriend.
So desparate is he that he promises to kiss "Ibrahim" if he runs the fastest.
Ibrahim
Enjoy!

Thank you, TLD,
- that kind of stimulation goes far, far, far!
What did Photobucket do to your "image or video"?
