- besides, had it been an Iranian Diversion
I had hardly mixed a cat or more cats into it
- because: I never heard of an Iranian Cat ...
But it's so nice to see the term Persian used
Good Morning, olivia

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Yes, I take lots of rat poison dear Mermaid.
They have difficulty in regulating my INR (IRN? - well you know.)

I learned from having a clot in my lungs 2.5 years ago.
Fortunately my Doctor shoved a filter (like a closed umbrella)
down my Jugular then opened it up like an opened umbrella, immediately.
Cuz I have had beaucoup of those little devils since
and the umbrella filter prevents their getting into my lungs
or other dangerous places.
I was in the horsepital for 23 days.
Missing my computer so much that they had Joe bring mine in to use on the hospital network
so I could talk to my WCG friends.

So, all of you crunchers over 45, put your feet up on a little bench (or stack of books)
when you are at the computer for a long time.

John (guitar man) called me several times when I was in and afterward.
He is such a caring young man.

As all of this bunch of crunchers are.....as I have seen many many many times.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

There you go: By accident.
I'm so glad they ran that Leiden test on you.
INR - International Normal Ratio
Desirable level 2.0-3.0.
2.5 meaning the rat poison has thinned your blood to a degree
where it will travel down a sheet of glass under a 45 degree (I think)
angle 2.5 times as fast as blood from a normal person.
Do you regulate the rat poison yourself?
In Denmark they have found that those in self management are
significantly better regulated than those having tests done at the lab.
If you have such a program on your little island, you should look into it.
It's convenient, too.
It has a lot to do with vitamin K of which you should not eat too much.
Spinach and broccoli being among the very worst,
which George Herbert Walker Bush wouldn't mind as to the broccoli part.
I love creamed spinach
- and the vitamin K effect I like to offset with wine or G&T.
smile
Do they empty that umrella from microscopic clots?

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

No I don't regulate myself.
I go every week (sometimes the next day) or if I'm lucky and INR is normal, I can wait a month.
But I haven't been that lucky lately.
I have other abnormal blood chem. But I don't wish to brag.

No they don't have to empty the umbrella. The little devils finally dissolve.

But the umbrella is genius and has saved my life.
You can't imagine how many times my life has been SAVED.
Makes me think that I should be doing more with it.

Thank you for that incredible explanation of INR!

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Morning Base Campers!
It was a busy day at our Home Base yesterday. I never saw so many people at one time before.
Most were Base Campers, but deltavee who is one of the Hexagame players and
GTCola2010 whom I just recently saw roaming this board, were welcome visitors.
GTCola2010 decided to join Base Camp.
Welcome in the cockpit GTCola2010.
(Would normally have said "on board", of course, and also did in an earlier post, but I am in an airy mode these days).
Missives have went out to those with powers to open gates, so you will soon be able to move around
freely everywhere, GTCola2010, and we look forward to getting to know you and trek with you.
Ghost Plane wisely contacted her doctor and were issued antibiotics and cough medicine.
Now we all trust that your recovery is just around the corner.
pwrguru seems to like colors, and we hope he will find that goal for WCG that makes him come again and again.
olivia had words of comfort and
cswchan did his best to steer us right as to the Persian Diversion.
Olivia said:

Yes, please brag. You may very well teach us new things we need to know to survive.

Current Trek #27 BitBendersTech: The Base Camp Camp ground is a benchmark of order and good behavior.
Nobody came. Nobody left, and the points are rolling in at a steady pace while the men share philosophic views over a mug of beer.

Upcoming Outpost Trek #2 - U.S. Air Force @ Collatz Conjecture:
cswchan again you improved on those numbers yesterday.
On the worst day, Navy was ahead by 125,848,067 points. This has now been reduced by 1,167,144 points.
[I'm afraid I had those %-estimates wrong. Better await classes in Sport's Stat School before venturing out in difficult calculations again.]

Seagreen was not what I was looking for - too much ocean.
No, I wanted the teal, and that was hiding at the very bottom far away from the other greens.
Teal has only a very faint connection to water referring to a little duck, which I believe is a fresh water duck.
From the teal, I would like to build a bridge to another waterfoul: The Loonie, and now you are
supposed to think Canada. Something I think we don't do often enough.

For those interested, this link takes you to a story about a WW II Lancaster crew:
RCAF
Their aircraft was shot down some 30 km (20 miles) northerly from my home - and almost on top of the home of my second cousin
who later emigrated to Canada with her family and lives in Edmonton. She has met some of these surviving airmen.
One of them is buried at a separate section for allied airmen killed over Denmark during WW II
in a churchyard some 20 km (14 miles) to the south of my home.

The families have brought home some of these men.
But one survivor, wanted to be buried with his men and rests there today far from his blood relatives.
Think Canada and congratulate cswchan on his Rosie.

GTCola2010, I'm terrribly sorry that the gate has not been opened yet
- either it's the minders of the key that are busy elsewhere
- or it's plain slacking

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I hope it isn't too cold for you to wait it out this way, GTCola2010.
It not nice. I know from experience.
I don't know how for how long I was sitting like you are now, before I came in.
You are welcome to post here
- event vent
- or you could go to the check-in counter in Base Camp forum,
where we hope you will tell us a little about yourself.
A welcome thread is ready for you.
