Oh, my Goodness!
They gave me Heparin when I had the blod clots to raise INR.
My AK School book says:
"Any procedure that may involve bleeding may have complications unless special precautions are taken.
In general surgery can be carried out if INR is below 1.5. Some surgeries may be done with INR in the interval of 1.5-2.5.
Suitable INR will normally be obtained by pausing Marevan (rat poison) for 2-3 days.
... If acute surgery is needed, the AK-treatment can be neutralized fast by plasma infusion or a concentrate of coagulation factors."

What they did seems to me to be the exact opposite - and with you suffering internal bleeding already!

Well, they were worried about clots in those long legs of mine. Kept me awake into the OR and had me help arrange my legs in puffer cuffs to keep things moving, then had to try 3 different versions of those leg braces they use on pregnant women before they could find a set long and high enough to keep my legs draped out of the way so they could work on the rest of me.

Worked beautifully and the anemia is almost gone, so I'm a happy camper.

Glad it worked out in the end in spite of.
Always curious for the entire story from start to end, though.
Maybe you feel like telling it somewhere else?
How is your coughing and other flu symptoms now?

It's scary. We could found our own sub-society here.
But, still, I think we are the lucky ones because it was detected in us.
There we go: It's far more prevalent in the population than you would think, but it's found out by accident.

Good morning! My petunias are blooming happily [pink and purple] and the hibiscus is back for another round.

"Cold" front roared thru yesterday, so it will only be in the mid 70s today.

Still coughing. Sigh... Have to call the doc Monday if it hasn't stopped by then.
