Bienvenu ici ! Et oui, c'est ça, le Base Camp, c'est des gens qui passent d'une équipe à l'autre pour aider.

Combien ? C'est à vot' bon cœur m'sieur dame, comme on dit chez nous. C'est vraiment en fonction des disponibilités et de la motivation.

Pareil pour les destinations des treks, c'est vraiment au feeling. J'ai trouvé Berlingo sympa, j'ai parlé de votre équipe, et puis voila.

Enfin, pour ce qui est des rencontres, ce n'est pas impossible. Mais on a plus tendance à partager des recettes de cuisine, et de jolies photos de paysage.

How many ? It is to your kind heart, as we say at home. It really depends on availability and motivation.

Same for the trek destinations, it's really the feeling. I found Berlingo nice, I talked about your team, and then here it is.

Finally, in terms of meetings, it is not impossible. But we are more likely to share cooking recipes, and pretty pictures of landscape.

When we founded Base Camp many years ago, we usually went to small teams to promote them.
At that time teams played a far bigger role here on the WCG Forum.
They had team threads where we could communicate and have fun.
So far we have been able to keep plowing the oceans, and I’m happy to say that quite often
a new Base Camper pops up, does one trek, two, perhaps more and perhaps all he can lay his hands on.
We think it’s fun, and it builds friendships and a sense of community beyond and in addition to crunching WUs.
In my mind I can picture each of the friends I have made here based on our communication.
They are immensely and wonderfully different and big and small producers work together in harmony.

Yesterday I took a long hike near my home.
Winter can be beautiful in many ways, and so can power and heating plants.

Cool concept ! Not sure to understand all though, how do you define start / end date ? and so the participant just change team in WCG to join the chosen one, for the duration defined ?

You came to us to inform us we are one of your future "target" (nice one !) and you propose us the 17/12, that's it ? I guess it's fine, we only have our own "massive event" twice a year at l'AF (autumn and spring ) plus the SG Pentathlon + charity team event plus "all the time minor events" for those hardcore crunchers of us (Formula Boinc sprints , bi-weekly projects, etc) :)

So I guess the 17 will be fine !
