Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Congratulations stefada
Not sure to understand all though
I don’t blame you, [AF>Le_Pommier] Jerome_C2005, neither do I.
I remember Base Camp's Grand Galla SNURK celebration trek as having a firm starting date
– September 1 – and it was scheduled to run for the entire month of September.
However, SNURK joined a complicated challenge, and things took on their own life.
The trek we just did – The International Team 3.0 – was scheduled for a fairly normal five days.
Still, some join at the beginning and leave early for their home teams, some join at the end.
You never know.
and so the participant just change team in WCG to join the chosen one, for the duration defined ?
Yes. Most of us have a home team from where we leave and to where we return
for the duration defined by each individual cruncher rolling eyes d oh thinking normally somewhere within the time frame scheduled
biggrin BladeD, I’m right here. Been out of town.
Real Life takes up more and more time, but I can never really leave you

Good Morning Base Campers!
Business
Our – as it turned out – stealth The International Team 3.0 trek is over.
I shall deal your badges ASAP.

As I said: It will be a collectors’ item – take good care of them shame on you
On December 17 we will make a trek to L'Alliance Francophone to finish on December 24 at 00:01 o’clock UTC.
It would be fun if we could assemble a fairly strong crew
so that we could impact their graphs as we did with The International Team
- run time graph as preferred by stefada

Yesterday I once more played tourist in my own country
- planning a trip to Paris, France, in April 2019, though, provided Paris still stands sad
Went to Dragør - a former fishermen and seafarer captain's hamlet turned upscale town near Copenhagen
where they also have updated mermaids (I think they had a booby job)
and dined at FlyverGrillen (The Aviation Grill) located next to the main runway at CPH
– Copenhagen Airport at Kastrup
a meeting place for plane watchers.
Their menu is all but French.

EDIT: A crucial 'p' inserted in 'mermaids'

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Little Mermaid,

---------
I spend a lot of time talking on the forum Alliance Francophone (it's much easier for me, that everything is in French).

It's a concept of the Base Camp, the team that is not one, and that helps others. They all find it great, and ask a number of questions. I feel that they are very eager to see what a trek is.

Also, they participate in other projects that the WCG, they will probably talk about it here, that I invited them all to participate in this topic (without waiting for the 17th).

Then, if you come to France, do not go to Paris !!! Finally, there is the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Louvre, but especially a lot of pollution, and people who have 'prison door heads'!

Why not come to Aveyron? You could see the landscapes that I showed you with your eyes, and then the bad food, you forget. There are some too, but hey, it's easy to find better. Aligot sausage, oreillette, zlabia ... Honey made by a small producer, if you like that. We also have a pastry chef / chocolatier, who makes cakes, even me who is more salty, I make everyone taste (Florence, in a bigger city, he would have made a fortune! And I say that while I do not like chocolate). I also know organic market gardeners, the butcher, he will choose his animals on foot at his cousin ...

Paris is a symbol of France, but there are really many other things. Toulouse is in my eyes the most beautiful / nice city, Carcassonne is very beautiful too, Quimper has a lot of charm, etc ...

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Ca dépend surtout de ce que tu as envie de faire durant le voyage ? Culturel ? veilles pierres ? paysages ? bonne bouffe ? plaine ? montagne ? côte ? vieux villages ?

But you can't *not go* to Paris at least for a few days? Then you can go *anywhere* and it will be nice :)

Do you base campers crunch on something else than WCG ?

Because l'AF is an extremely versatile team crunching on many many projects actually.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I hope Paris is the first step of taking a closer look at France, stefada.
I want to see the obvious places – l’Arc de Triomphe
- and the new one in la Defénse, designed by Danish von Spreckelsen,
Pei’s pyramide at the Louvre,
of course the Eiffel Tower,
the Biblioteque Nationale,
Centre Pompidou
Fondation Louis Vuitton (the Frank Gehry structure) to mention a few attractions.
All I can pack into five days I want to see.
Just walking the streets and looking at houses is a treat for me.
Believe me, Aveyron is on my mind, so is Provence when the lavender fields bloom,
and certainly Quimper (from my stamp collection) and Saint-Maló from ’All the Light We Cannot See’,
the Invasion Coast (have been there once, but want to return)
– oh, I think you have so much to offer tourists in France.
In the first place it will be Paris, however.
Any suggestions as to what to see or do or eat off the beaten path are welcome.
[AF>Le_Pommier] Jerome_C2005, once I did Collatz. It was the most difficult thing I ever did trek wise.
I had to update my Graphic Card with TLD’s assistance ….
I stick with WCG because I like the health and environmental projects, it's not complicated,
and not least:
Because I feel I get friends from all over the world and learn new things all the time by going to the WCG Forums.

Good Morning Base Campers!
