I like your art but I have to say I like your music tastes even more KILLSWITCH ENGAGE FTW! devilish Where are you trying to go for grad school?

Thanks. I am talking with the dean of admissions at University of Minnesota to see if I can get in their MHA program. Hopefully it works out. They are ranked #2 in health care programs.

Minnesota eh? I was thinking about doing my doctorate in philosophy there. But then I saw how cold it is there. And I laughed. Hope it all goes well.

Keith, as regards the results banners, I am impressed with your graphical talents. You run a tight ship here.

One thing though - the gradations for runtime are every year. I will be lucky to hit one of these every 5-6 months. However, the Milestones for results are every 100 results (which those of us like me hit every two days or so). Some of the hardcore crunchers will hit 100 results every day (Gerald, Dataman, maybe blizzie?). But even the most turbo hardcore crunchers on this team will only hit a year of runtime every few months.

How about two a day? biggrin

You make a good point though.

Did they get the streets of Boston cleared? Just rain here.

Nope. I can only do 100 results in 3 days cause I only crunch Cancer and AIDS. If I do DDDT then perhaps I could get 100 a day (I can do one result in about an hour).

Uh, would you be interested in some beachfront property on the *east side* of the beach on Miami Beach? wink You overestimate my skills. I've just gotten started with Corel. As for the intervals, it's a balance of practicality and trying to make sure that any member gets adequate recognition whether they have multiple high end machines or a single low end machine that only runs during the day. The points intervals we set before my time. I did set the intervals for results and yes, they are a bit close at first but spread out later. With runtime, figuring out if a one year interval has been passed is much simpler than something less like six months. It's a balancing act. You want the milestones to be close enough that someone with a machine that can only manage 500 points a day can have a reasonable chance at reaching one soon enough to still have some meaning. Folks with several high end machines will quickly go thru these "early" milestones but then settle in to the half-million or million point intervals or the thousand or five thousand result intervals. Also, these are not cast in store forever. In time, I fully expect that we'll revamp them. Eventually, dual core machines will be the "386 chip" machines of that day.

More rain and windy too here ... but nice and warm as the clouds hold the heat in overnight. I'll check the boards in a few days to see if it was just a good idea or some of the tabs are gone. wink

One of the 3 UPS's is acting up today with intermittent beeps. I know it is not power as the other two show no spikes or drops. I guess I will be ordering yet another battery today. sad

Hi Dataman,

Great to hear from you Stefan!! Thanks for adding the new machines ... can't let parmesian catch you. biggrin

Need to add more, I fear...

Those are great crunching numbers you have. I should live long enough to acheive almost 7 million points. wink

Haha -- at current speed you do a million per month, you should eat some
vitamins and we'll check your stats in june...

Best, Stefan.

Hi Keith,

Stefan, use dcstat.com/sig/1505.gif in img tags in your sig. Sig changes reflect on all your posts.

Thanks so much, also the new HoF banners came in handy -- wonderful bricks to play with ;)

Best, Stefan.
