Sadly, these are somewhat expensive solutions. I'm looking for obscure places at Harvard for me to hide a laptop so it can crunch all year long and not heat my apartment in the summer. My desktop is a lost cause though - I have to shut it down during the day since it heats my room to a comfy 65 degrees F even when it is 20 degrees F with my window open and a fan on.
Dataman, Unfortunately, I have to shut most everything down about the end of May to early September. When the outside temperature is 105F (41C), my office is 90F (32C) and the processors are 158F (70C), there is no place to put the heat. ![]() A few solutions: 1) move the servers into the cooler basement 2) equip the workstations with active (liquid) cooling 3) install an air condition These temperatures might even go up during the next years... We can't allow summer to keep us from finding cures... Best regards, Stefan. |

WOW, what a day! We set new daily records for both points and results today!

That is breath-taking. |

That will all change with today's (12/20) stats. Note that in the Christmas Race challenge, we've edged into 6th place! |
