I currently reside over in the south Chicagoland area. Physically I'm in Denmark How bout you? - virtually I'm a Base Camper currently crunching for *The Survivors*. Base Campers are a migrant lot. If you look at you membership roll, you'll find that you had a visit from a mermaid at some point.  Chicago is great. Have had the good luck to visit a couple of times. An architecural Mecca you can say. If you fill in your "index card" - click "My Grid" in the light gray bar up ^^^ there - we can all run a background check on you and pinpoint your location <said by a geography afficionado> |

yeah chicago is beautiful. I've had the pleasure of taking the Chicago River architectural tour on a boat a few times. Not to mention all the beautiful parks and museums.

Tryin to see how far i can overclock, it does seem to be showing a significant improvement with WCG stats. Runnin 100% 24/7 now.
Any good OCers out there? |

Hi cowykillr - I don't OC, but there are many WCG crunches who do. Semper Fi - ski1939 . Depends what his CPU is. OC'ing is really easy to do. I don't, because I run my PC 24/ as well (Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield 2.8GHz). That may change for my next rig (Intel Core Ivy Bridge). Sounds like a monster with low wattage!  Semper Fi! |

thanks for that, I'll def look into all the goodies listed on their forums. Currently runnin the Q9550...i just turn wgc down when gaming. Any work out there for Nvidia chipset GPUs? Was looking, but didnt see any... |

Was looking, but didnt see any... cowykillr, just remember one thing when going there. You will find that their search engine does not work for folks just 'looking in'. It's worth joining the forum to be able to do that. Many crunchers here at the WCG had to do that to be able to use their search engine. It's worth the time to do it. Then, you can just put in the search engine: Over-clocking the Q9550 (or OC'ing the 9500). It will be there (in the search engine) with many posts following up on that. If you have to make a post (I don't think that you have to) it will be worth your time. Just take that outstanding advice there and then you can also help your fellow Brothers-In-Arms if they need advice about OC'ing their rig(s). Semper Fi! |
