Evening all. With a PVR I can get all the digital freeview channels and because that little beastie has twin channels, I can watch one digital and record another at the same time. Daughter No 1 who bought a digital TV early on has now decided she had to buy a PVR to solve that problem. What is a PVR please, 'cos I have that problem too! |

It's been sunny here too but a maximum of 12 degrees which didn't actually encourage me to take my sweater off let alone anything else. And Merle, the best known PVR is Humax although I have a slightly cheaper version made by Goodmans. They act as a set top box to get all the digital channels but also have two tuners and a hard drive which allows the recording of one whilst watching another. They still can't manage the old technology of receiving a signal from the programme to say it is actually starting so that you weren't caught out with a delayed broadcast, but that's progress for you.
